Is it possible to keep your trial character when purchasing the game?
Also, what exactly is included with the free trial? Do you only have access to limited features? I'm just wondering because I don't know if i feel like wasting time with a incomplete trial version.

Trial is 100% full access, with maybe the exception of the in game mail system (they said they were changing it, don't know if they did, to combat plat sellers).
The trial is literally the entire game client, and in fact if you decide to purchase it's just a matter of entering a key...and yes, absolutely you keep your characters and everything with them after upgrading.
cool! Thanks alot bro. I'm gonna see how much better the game is compared to when I last played it in beta.
I'm getting sick of the long boring grind with every other mmo. Maybe It's just me getting older, i dunno. But I miss playing old style PnP D&D where every encounter and every fight is meaningful and exciting.
I just need a change and DDO could be what i'm searching for.

Don't forget to get the high-res client for the trial!!! Looks a lot better than the standard client.

Yea, I'm downloading that right now as we speak
It's taking a long time though I'm DL the game at a horribly slow rate at 59 mb a sec, grrr! I have a super monster pc with a amd 64 x2 4600,,,8800 gts,,, 4 gigs ram, and DSL. If i had the cd's, i'd breeze through the installation phase.
Cool, I'm now at 2% complete after 10 minutes! *sighs*

I have another question. If I go to my local EB Games store to purchase DDO, Is there just one version of the game? I heard theres no expansion packs, so I imagine i just look for the original D&D Online: Stormreach?

Yeah the original DDO client is all what you need. The expansions are free.
Just a quick confirmation here... I am on the trial and DO have access to the mail system.
I can't confirm that I can mail out, but I can recieve...
I have bought the game but have not applied the key yet, so I am still on the trial access.
