do night elf druids suck in WoW?

i was just wondering do druids really suck because i read on other forums that they arent that great and the transformations suck, esecially the bear. any comments would be appreciated thanks!
anyone that has and is currently playing the beta please tell me.

I am not in the beta but this is my opinion when I say that druids are good in a certain way. In their different forms, druids assume the form of different classes. In the "normal" form, they are a healer/caster. In the bear form, they are like warriors only weaker. Cat form, they are like rogues only less effective when it comes to dealing damage and using skills. If you are planning on being melee, the druid may not be your best choice because the regular warrior and the regular rogue would be much more effective. If you plan on playing a caster/healer, druid still wouldn't be too great because, while their spells are effective, not nearly as effective as the regular healers/casters.
Now if you plan on playing a balanced class where you can do just about anything yourself(heal, fight, cast spells.) and you want to have a bit of a challenge when you are playing trying to decide which would be the best way to approach a battle, the druid is the class for you. I know my only Night Elf will be a druid, because I can't imagine a huge tauren transforming into a cat and running around silently.
Remember, all of this is my opinion, so don't threaten to slit my throat if some of the things I said may not be correct or to your liking.

on the blizzard boards for beta players druids have been consistantly ranked low for PvP but thats the only hint that they could be underpowered.

Actually i have seen a huge tauren turn into a cat and it looked a lot cooler then you might think.
Also (i watched the tauren turn into a tiger on a movie clip) the tauren druid was actually doing a lot of damage and killed like 2 wild boars and 1 giraffe. So druids are actually pretty good at soloing it and pretty essential in guilds.
