That is all you're doing every time you moan about the current build of SWG.
The game will never be back to pre-cu or cu, except for the..... you know.
So seriously, SOE supported SWG servers? Do you honestly want that? Do you? When in the future we wont have to worry about SOE at all?
Come on guys, give it a rest, it's not worth sitting here dreaming about SOE magically opening a few classic servers for a group of whiners, most of us don't even give a fuck about SOE anymore and would rather avoid playing any game under their companies command.
Get a grip, wait it out, and the game you once love just may be able to be played, without SOE's bs.

And I, for one, wouldn't come back even if Smed personally asked me WHICH Pre-CU publish to re-instate, because I wouldn't trust the bastard to not bait and switch me again as he did to me twice while I played SWG. I wouldn't buy a pack of gum from Smed, he's just not trustworthy.
As a consumer I am requesting not dreaming. I prefer the pre CU product.

Uh, this is a public forum, so people post their opinions and experiences with the whole SWG, NGE, SOE etc... It's perfectly fine. Why does it matter to you?
And your last line sounds more like a hint to private servers with Pre-CU... Which I am not even going to get into the legality of it.

With all due respect, I don't think the OP is an NGE'r judging by his statements (I could be wrong) nor was he defending SOE. He was simply saying 'wait for the E to the M to the U.'
I agree. There was a time when there were arguably good reasons to lobby for classic servers. But now I don't think any of those reasons apply anymore. At this point it's best to just wait for flightless birds.

I really missed your point- sorry- yes I saw the last update on that certain rebirth of Pre CU out there in the outer rim. If SOE goes after those guys cant they just make new graphics in their own design since its not SOE's code????? Must not say "SWG eeeeee M ewwwww".

No kidding, Just got done playing myself and it's seems be flying pretty well. 10x more fun than the NGE thats for sure.
I don't want an emulator. I want what I bought in 2003, with support, upgrades, and my friends.
To me, something like the NGE switchover seemed too outlandish to ever seriously consider from a consumer perspective. How can these people sell games?

There is no replacement for pre-CU SWG.
I know one of the emus will be supported after launch with upgrades, in fact it's already got an entire new planet full of content. You're only problem is you might need to make new friends.
I hear you Beatnik, I would definitely go with an officially supported version (and pay a subscription) over an emu any day to get my Pre-CU fix. But alas that isn't going to happen. I'm like a junky going for the cheap crack cause none of the 'good stuff' is left...
Anyways, it seriously boggles my mind as to why the NGE is still with us.
I do think there's something more sinister going on with LA's motives (I posted my entire reasoning the other day but the mods here deleted the thread), and they are actually hoping SWG dies. It's more money for them in the long run to get a replacement on the market that can truly compete as soon as possible. They're sitting outside playing the fiddle watching SWG burn, so to speak.
