At least that was the synapses of todays biased news that I only heard a portion of. You know how these media types influence opinion so I dont know if that was his official endorsement. Now please, we dont need to add extra words to his position to clarify. Either he does or dont want illegals to have licenses. I didnt catch the debate and i am not sure of the networks position on which candidate they are trying to covertly support/destroy.
IMO, if he does support that stance, he might be doomed by Billary. John Mccain has seeming, reluctantly swept his position of amnesty aside.

im pretty sure Baracks version was DL for the ones who have started the legal path to citizenship , which can take years in some cases. Also allowing a temp DL for people here on work/student visas that only are in effect for as long as the visa is good.
I dont see an issue with this if it works like i think it does. They are going to drive anyway , now if one hits you they have a chance to actually have auto insurance , which if you live in places like TX, AZ, CA being hit by an illegal without insurance happens to someone every few minutes and is one of teh reason your car insurance is about double what it would be in other places.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
I just love the "they're going to break the law anyway so we might as well spend money and make provions for them" attitude.
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
Democrats merely want more dependents, to give more money away from hard working americans to create a socialized utopia to ensure their power for generations to come, all at the cost of destroying what was america. Its not about insurance or safety. they drive and hit without insurance, and they are illegal...put em away in jail.
I saw someone with a Marijuana signature about 98% of kids try it(not sure of the accuracy of that number)...I think ill go roll a joint for my 8 year old son, so he can smoke it when he gets back from grammar school, which he was probably learning how to put a condom on a banana.

The same simpleminded racists who wail about illegals (which means brown skinned people who speak Spanish) also believe Obama is a Muslim...and besides, he's far too tan for their tastes to begin with.
So chances are this particular issue doesn't change much.
CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

Barack has a liberal rating of 100%. Drivers licences for illegals will have no effect at all.
And yes, Barack Hussein Obama was at one point a Muslim in his life, whether he is now is still to be questioned.
I don't think most democrats believe in a god, if they say they do, its usually to just pad their resume.
yes, I am goading, sorry.

John McCain had it right and for the most part the anti-illegal immigration folks are a tad off their rocker (the whole OMG its amensty, the horror!). Sure we need to go about protecting our border and stopping further illegal immigration (fence, more border patrol, further equipment to monitor the border etc.) but with somewhere between 7 - 20 million (most likely on the higher end) illegal aliens living in the United States mass deportation simply isn't an honest answer.
If the Republicans are the anti-government, low tax folks, then understand that you are looking at between $205 - $230 billion over the next five years in costs associated with deportation. Those costs don't include what will happen to the economy when our cheap labor gets shit canned.
You're right. And Bill Clinton did some major padding. Ever see his ridiculously large show Bible with the ridiculously large cross embossed on it?
And yes, Barack Hussein Obama was at one point a Muslim in his life, whether he is now is still to be questioned.
I agree. Immegrants are a good thing as long as they are legal. If they are illegal I don't care what color they are they need to be kicked out of the country.Am I the only person who doesn't care if Obama is Muslim or not? One of the things I hate about being a republican is that the party is full of insane Christians that are no better than the extremist muslim terrorists. Not that any of this matters, if Mcain gets the nomination which looks like it will happen, the Democrats can nominate a cat from all I care and I'll vote for them even if I helping bring on the 90% income tax.
Would it really be any worse than any other choice presented so far?

If an industry such as construction, for example, sees that people are willing to pay a bit more to kick the illegals out, then no more jobs for them. And yes, they get pissed when you say "I don't want your business because you employ illegals". But, I don't care. They are the ones losing the money.
There are more illegals than just hispanics, those that you so kindly referred to as "brown skinned people who speak spanish", you tell me which sounds worse? The idea of getting illegals a driver's license is alright, considering that yes they WILL drive, license or not, will help if it means they can get insurance, etc etc, that way when we get hit by them we aren't totally screwed while they go skipping off like nothing happened.
Also, I keep hearing from friends not rumors, but "apparent" facts that Obama is like 1/3 or something Muslim. Is this true, is it rumor, how did he respond to that if at all?
First, I am neither Christian nor Republican. I follow no man-made religion and no, I am not Atheist. I have my own personal beliefs which I won't get into. But, I would never, ever, vote a Muslim into any office. This is not being racist towards the individual, but towards the individuals belief. All Muslims, whether moderate or not, wish Islam to be spread across the globe. Obama wants a summit with all Muslim nations if he is elected, including Iran, in order to reestablish relations.
Go to the website for CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) to view the crap they put there. They support terrorist organizations (such as the Holy Land Foundation) and Obama meets with these people regularly.
Edit: To add, Obama supports legalizing Marijuana. www.washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article
Bad news there as well.

My point was just that the religion aspect of it is not what would motivate me. I don't care if someone is Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or any other religion, the government shouldn't be affect by religion. As for Obama himself I am not a supporter. Like you I am not religious and have my own personal belief system. There is so much not to like about Obama that I have no plans to ever vote for him, but religion is not the deciding factor. The bible thumpers are no better and want the same thing. The best would be someone that can separate politics and religion.I don't mind legalizing Marijuana as long as they tax the hell out if it and use that money to reduce my taxes. Since I'll never touch that garbage it would be a big win for me.

The religion of a president should be meaningless. If you believe in a god then you should believe your god will work his will no matter who we choose as our president. So you should choose someone who you think will handle the economy, military, welfare, healthcare, etc. the best, not based on what god he worships or how he worships. It's completly aside the fact - if you believe in your god then you believe your god's will will be done regardless of the religion of our leadership.
What greater tribute to free will than the power to question the highest of authority? What greater display of loyalty than blind faith? What greater gift than free will? What greater love than loyalty?
The problem is when you get a president like bush who when talking about policy starts with crap like God told me..., I don't want someone's god running the country. If he can keep it separated from running the country he can worship a ten legged goat for all I care.

They follow the "will" of Allah. In my opinion it's just another way of a mentally insane person killing a sleuth of people only to claim "the devil made me do it".
It IS meaningless because apparently it has no bearing on how a president behaves while in office.
Obama's just trying to bring in more hispanic votes. Politicians are all about hinting at things to get votes and then not following through once they're elected.

I don't know. You tell me if he doomed himself.
But before you do that answer this for me, did the Republican's doom themselves for supporting the act of allowing illegal aliens to keep coming across the border by not doing anything about that?
In other words, don't act like you belong to some party that is one of action when it comes to this issue. Your party of Republican's hasn't done jack sh*t about this issue from the foundation. You want to take away the power for Obama to talk about doing this, then stop the influx of illegals like your politicians are so quick to talk about doing, but never up to actually acting on.
I guess that's hard to do though when you're just as bought out as the Democratic party is. Sucks to be either of you if you ask me.

Barack doomed himself when he stood in front of teamsters and said he would join their picket lines after being elected, The illegal license issue is just more butter to grease his slide into obscurity.

Drivers licenses for illegals will have the effect of giving them greater access to other documents and services that American taxpayers foot the bill for. The drivers license is the single most relied upon form of indentification and is currently presumed to only be given to citizens and green card holders. Foreigners and visa holders can use international drivers licenses to drive in the US, which still identify them as non citizens. Of course, you have to be legally here to qualify for an international drivers license also.

That's bullshit. I don't ever recall Bush being quoted as saying he talks to God or was told by God to do something. That's more anti Bush hysteria from liberal nutjobs. Post a link. Just because someone claims to have a strong faith and belief in God, and forms opinions and creates policy in part because of their faith, does not equate to talking to God or being told something by God.
I am agnostic but am sick of this anti religion crap.
Illegals don't have a right to be here no matter how long the legal path takes and costs. We do not need illegals in our economy. The facts are that illegals do compete with jobs that lower income Americans want and need but can't afford to take because illegals drive the salaries down by undercutting the market by accepting lower pay since it is still more than what they could make back home. Illegals cost our economy a lot more money than what they contribute because of higher taxpayer costs in education, medical services, crime, courts and jails, less taxes paid on undocumented labor, and most of the money they earn is sent out of the US to be spent in a foreign country which hurts both our GNP and M1 supply.
Both Democrats and Republicans are equally to blame for not enforcing border control and allowing illegals to migrate easily to the US. Obviously deporting them all suddenly is not the solution because it doesn't address the source of the problem which are the jobs being offered to them. We already have laws on the books to deal with punishing companies that employ illegals, we just need to enforce them. Both Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney have realistic plans to deal with illegal immigration. First you must enforce border control with all aspects of barriers, agents, monitoring to secure it. Then you go after all employers who hire illegals and fine them to the point where it costs less to hire Americans and legal aliens for higher salaries. Once the jobs are no longer available to illegals, the desire to come here will diminish, and meanwhile you slowly deport any that local law enforcement encounter during their daily patrols.

The way he talks about Christianity you would think its a white republican religion.
You need to provide a link to a direct published, recorded, videotaped quote. The article you reference clearly states that this claim is heresay from a private conversation in which Bush referenced being guided and motivated by his faith and his belief in God.
