Some time ago I bought a month of playtime and instantly cancelled the subscription because I want to control the payment myself. I've done this 2-3 times now. Do they perma ban your account for this? Did they ban me because I like to control my expenses? That's quite stupid of them and they should've displayed it very clearly so I didn't made those "mistakes"

If I ignore the fact that they lack the proof to class me as a goldseller for a minute I'd like to say in my defense that the reason for me to "sub -unsub - sub" was to wanting to control my expenses. I only want to play a month here and there because I get fed up with the game, I wouldn't want to let them charge me every month when I don't feel like playing their game.
As for calling them, I'll call them when I feel like playing EQ2 again. I don't feel like it atm... You might now say "You're guilty of goldselling , you don't dare to call them". fine, If you want to belive that then go ahead
If you plan to recover your banned account, you should contact them now, not in 6 months, through the means they have available. If they say phone, then it doesn't cost you nearly anything (use voip or their 800 number).
For example, to check if you are the real owner of the account, they could ask your account data, along with your list of ingame friends. Do not forget about your secret question/answer. Along with emailing them a copy of your ID -to check it with your account data- or gamebox photo with the serial-code if you have it (never throw away you original box/CDs and bills).
Another thing is to discuss if it really makes sense to make such checks by phone instead of using email or their web.

You say you unsub and resub because you want to control spending right?
Unless the E-Card isn't temporary like you say, then why unsub and then resub? Why not let it run out and then enter new card details after it fails the charge?

Glad you got it sorted out..see SOE's CS isnt as bad as every doom monger makes it out to be
