this is what I found on blizzard.com/wow World of Warcraft has NOT yet been optimized for many hardware configurations. The system requirements are expected to be lower for the final shipping version of the game, specifically in regards to processor speed and video card memory requirements. The system specifications listed below are for the World of Warcraft® beta only. The World of Warcraft® Beta test has the following requirements: A 56K or higher modem with an internet connection.
Windows® System/OS:
* 800 Mhz or higher CPU. * 256 Megabytes or more of RAM. * Geforce 2 Graphics Card or better. * 3 Gigabytes or more of available hard drive space. * DirectX® 9.0 or above.

Brutux hit the nail on the head. Everything listed above is what the WOW site said. Who knows they might add something at a later date. I guess we will wait and see.
I'm wondering if any beta testers have a system that is anywhere near the above numbers and if WoW is actually playable with the minimum requirements. The reason I ask is because I have bought a computer game before based on minimum requirements, but the game ended up being unplayable (Morrowind), even with all the graphics and sound turned low and no extraneous programs running in the background.

all games suck if you are right at the bare min for the game....
Graphics ain't most important for MMORPG. By the way I'm a kamikadze I'll play WoW with GF2MX 400.... To those who don't know: there is 'Geforce 2 card' requirement but maaan GF2 Ti is so much faster than GF2MX
I'm sure most people have a PC over the specs posted here. Besides a good card is relativley inexpensive now. For $100 you can get a decent card and no more than $200 for a Radeon 9800 Pro.

Thats right I love my Radeon 9800 pro., and dont think your gonna take it from me.
yeah i have a great video card (geforce fx 5600 AGP 256mb DDR) but I'm going to upgrade my ram to make the game run smoother (i have 256) but I was wondering if i have 1.79 ghz would upgrading my ram help make games run smoother?
