If I want to see nipples I'll go see the real thing. I have little desire to look at computer generated boobs but you seam to have a wierd fascination with them. Maybe you should get out more.
Really, what's the point of the "M" rating then? Because of the blood and gore?

It is truly pathetic how America is so afraid of nudity, we have no troubles showing kids endless extreme violence but heaven forbid anything involving the realities of flesh and blood people

Censorship is for the weak. If it says 18+ or M or w/e, then they should be able to put whatever they want in it, even if its Dana Kirkpatrick's beaver. After all, they did warn us didn't they? They are supposed to check kiddies ID's aren't they? Maybe its time I move "elsewhere" in Europe.
And to think, I wrote all that because I won't get to see nipples. WHATS THE DEAL? EVERYONE HAS A PAIR 6-12 INCHES FROM THEIR FACE, DEPENDING ON HOW FAR THEY SAG!
If you're outraged, vote, write letters, fax, email. Do something about it.
The censorship is in the game code, not on the servers. So, if you use a key from a different version which has no censorship, you will get an uncensored game, regardless of where you are. So, no big deal.
I am certainly not buying AoC to see nipples...
But I do often wonder about this type of thing (censors).

Well each nation has its own silly taboos. US folks are obviously a nipple-less people, heh. I hear in UK everything with shuriken is EBIL, and here in Germany you can see nudes in summer in a park but god forbid any tiny pixel human is killed with blood, oh noes!

Well, nipple less is kinda a step up for the ameircans... Back in the 50's bellybuttons were painted away on drawings and pictures in the "internet of the year", the news/woman/hardware magazines.
So hey! you guys got your bellybuttons back! (Not sure if that was the result of several kids asking the school nurse if they were a mutant because they had this odd thing on their belly, or a result of the hipie 60's

It's not censorship, it's politics or if you prefer, economics. The age difference between a M+ and AO rating is all of one year. But there are allot of business' that wont carry AO games, so many that it would seriously impact sales. There is no uptight old maid sitting at a computer manning some sort of censor button. There are instead, a bunch of moralizing business people deciding what you can and can't see. If you have a problem with it take it to them. Who are they? Walmart for one. There must be others.
If you are in the US and buy a non German European version, you will be on Euro servers. This will effect game performance and you will be in a poor timezone to meet other players.
But if you can put up with that come and join us!
P.S Plz Can I have your nipples and decapitated heads?
Don't worry germans. I'm sure the rest of us euros(including the non euros skandinavians) will help figure a way to either mod the game to its full "showing" or aid in smuggling the Euro version to Germany.

I can spew verbal, textually transmitted vomit all day on my dislike of the methods used by the ESRB to create a rating, but I doubt few enjoy the sloshing of coded, regurtitated, opinionated, writings of a person who should be working. So to keep it short:
18+ in America, lets you buy cigarettes, porn, rifles/shotguns(but not pistols)and all the sexual "educational" devices(texas laws on that matter still make me lol) you want. And you can even vote if you feel like it. But Id rather spend that time I could be voting, buying cigarettes, condoms, and ultra violent movies. They need a better comparison level, between what the ESRB calls "mature" and "adults only" I think. When does mature legally really start? I thought it was 18, maybe I am wrong.
I take it this is male and female nipples? If the Americans are going to just ban female ones, cry foul as thats sexisim
They should add pasties in the US version just like a majority of the strip clubs around here.
I'm 34, I should be allowed to see nipples if I want to. I sure hope they give us the option to authenticate our age on the acct to unlock all features. If they don't, they are just caving to political presure and it makes you wonder what else will be blocked from us in the future.
I can see full frontal nudity of AoC characters in Playboy, but not the game which I use my CC to pay for that verifies my age...go figure.
ALLOW age verification when the acct is opened and give the main character rights to set any additional options for the other characters on the acct. IMO if parents let their young kids play this game, knowing what's in it, that's their problem to deal with. Be better parents.

Exactly what I am talking about. If you use a credit card, that card can be checked to see the age of the holder. Porn sites do the same thing for age identification. Using a strict rating silly, for an MMO game where the enviroment, and the programming can be easily changed. Another issue with using the same rating system with an offline game, like a gameboy, and a computer game, too restrictive and unflexible.
In the USA kids under 7 years old are doing drugs and they are afraid that some nipples will screw up their childhood ? ..
The inteligence of politicians amazes me even now...
If you don't like it, you can always move to the EU where you can see all the Nudity you want.
Personally this wasn't much of a surprise. American's don't much care for easy access nudity.
