Icky customer support

I am little disapointed with EVE online customer support.

I had paid for an EVE online account with a paypal e-check, which takes about nine days to clear.  After the payment cleared I had tried to log in an play, but my account didn't exist anymore. Thus, I contacted their support .

After four days they finaly responded to me, but told me that I ahve to contact paypal for a refund and then pay for another account. O.O

I was a little suprised... I really wanted to play this game and I get told that I pretty much have to fix it, when it was their mistake. It kind of annoyed me that they didn't really help me with the problem and I really wish that there is some sort of phone number that you could phone about problems such as these...

I have filed a claim with paypal and hopefuly this can get fixed.

But in the mean time I have created a trial account and am loving the game =D

Sounds like you got stuck in one of those sucky situations which most companies are bad at handling.  I haven't found many online companies which handle online billing in a way that seems streamlined or even logical to me when you have an issue.  Anyhow, I hope it gets resolved and you get to have some fun in game.

It may not be anything they can help you with. Sadly when you start dealing with third parties for billings where the money stop moving or failed to get accepted becomes an added problem. It could be that Paypal had an error in their system in which case CCP would not be able to help you as they may not have seen anything on their end.  Generally I have found paypal to be problematic sometimes. A reloadable visa card might be worth while to look at getting for paying your gaming subscriptions.

I find it strange that they had apparently deleted your account... From what I've seen, they usually don't delete even inactive, or trial accounts, mostly ever.

Maybe there was some data-loss problem or something?

lol their staff are too busy investigating each other (for in-game cheating) to answer support queries :)

Note: PlayNC will refuse to allow you access to your account if you forget your password and can't provide a scanned image of the product key for the first product you purchased..... LOL
