CPU fan not working?
I bought a E8200 a week ago for a bit better performance. Been working great but since today my CPU temp is about 50°C when all i do is just surf the net before today it was always 35°C, so i looked and it seems my cpu fan won't start but i can be wrong.
So i ask if any of you had some experience witht his problem? Cause I am a bit worried.

is it the stock fan ?
fully loaded that cpu runs at around 44°C (or so some quickie google search says). you say your fan isn't working... can you actually see the blades NOT spinning ? did the fan power come unplugged ? what's your cpu load ? (open the task manager, under the performance tab, cpu useage)

the blades weren't spinning so I really feared something had gone wrong. Opened my case window checked and tried to reconnect everything and started again , now it is running again at 35°C. thx for all your replies sorry i posted so soon but it scared me. If it happens again i will go back to store but don't think it will be the case (i hope).

double check your bios and make sure your high temperature threshold is set within a limit that doesn't cook your processor.
AND... regardless of it running now or not, unless the fan wasn't plugged in or one of your wires was binding up the blades, i'd get a new fan or even heat sink & fan if you had to. this is a failure of your fan and will happen again, best be safe about protecting your cpu rather than have a toasted one on your hands.
