Fury is an arena-based PVP MMOG.  There is no looting of other player's corpses, its more of a closed pvp environment, where the killing is done through different warzones.  There is no exp to be lost in Fury because there is no leveling.  This is not an RPG, but more like a competitive PVP game containing RPG elements, with a style similar to third person shooter games (just replace guns and 'nades with swords and spells ).  Basically, to obtain items, you compete in battle.  Once the rounds are finished, 'spoils of war' will be available for 'rolling' on.  Also there are NPCs in the lounge area (called sanctarum) that will be able to artifice you armor, jewelry and weapons for a price.  There are also brokers you can visit which you can buy items sold by players.  Lastly there are NPCs that sell specialty items.  In short, as far as loot goes, its not too hard to obtain :)

Items that you wear do degenerate in quality.  There are two variables you have to maintain, condition and durability.  To be honest I'm not sure what happens once they reach 0% durability or condition, though I do remember one time one of these went to 0 and it just caused the item to be unusable temporarily.  Its just best to maintain the repair bills when you can :).  Hope this helps
