Sci Fi Rpgs?

Alright my first major question is...I like to RP a spaceship commander, are there any good Sci Fi MMOs?

Next id like to rule out EVE and SWG because EVE costs money, which im willing to pay but would rather not, and SWG is just complete BS in my opinion.

So yeah. Can anyone help me?

    There's an Honor Harrington MMORPG coming out next year, I think, and a Serenity MMORPG as well... but I'm not aware of anything right now.  Sounds like the Honor Harrington one (Google Honorverse) might be up your alley.

    My knowledge is far from encylopedic, however.

    Yeh theres a lot of us who want a sci-fi mmorpg!

    It's complete BS that there's only 1 or 2, There's also a distint lack of sandbox mmorpg's too!

     

    Yet the fantasy theme is just completely SPAMMED!!!

    There all the bloody same just repackaged in some way or another YAWN

     

    It's about time they made a handful of mmorpg's with a theme other than fantasy/hack'n'slash!!!

    I mean how many do they think they can they shove down our throats before we throw up!?

    I heard about the Serenity MMO a long while ago.  It was suppose to be made with Multiverse.  I haven't heard about it in a while, is it still being made?  Its not on the Multivers website anymore.
