Looking for something new (possibly LOTRO)

Well, Since WoW Has become to the point where it's almost unplayable due to D/C's every hour and a half, i reckon its time too move on too a new game.  possibly Lord of the rings online. i'm actually still looking into it but im wondering how is it's pvp and pve system? i've heard random things like pvp is only possible in one specific zone. Kindof wondering if thats true.  Cause i'm looking for a game that's..

 

1. It's possible to solo everything in PvE world and grouping is not nescessarly needed.

2. PvP is either Optional, or Open in only specific zones. so i dont have to worry about being ganked by players 60 levels above me like in WoW unless i'm in a normal server. 

3.  has a player driven economy (Like WoW's Auction House)  

4.   has special gear rewards from pvp 

 

oh and for those who are curious on what im talking about by my WoW being un playable . Basically i'm getting Discconected from their servers every hour and a half.  even while running no add-on's the game server will disconnect me no matter what im doing. and it almost always D/C's in the worst possible time.  I've tried everything from a new network card to a new cable modem. it just never fails and always disconnects me every hour and a half.  I'm only lvl 53 but i gather if i can ever hit 70 at this rate even if i did i'll never get a raid spot and i'll be very limmited on what i can do in game anyway. as of now i cant run instances at all so i doubt i'll be able to work heroics if this never gets fixed.

    Well if your looking for a truly new game this isnt the one you want to play. While it does have a few new Ideas it just feels like WoW but in a different setting. I played this after playing wow and got bored with it quick.


    PvP is in one area its atually called PvMP

    I didnt get that far to get to much gear cuz I didnt play long.


    I myself am waiting for AoC.

    what is PVMP and how does it work if it's that one specific zone for pvp.  Oh and for anyone that's gone all the way with LOTRO, has End-Game material improved any since the launch date? i read somewhere that after you do all the books and reach the level cap the game just kinda stops.  I dunno, it still kindof intrests me.  mostly cause i just want to see how their house system works.  I've tried afew of the major MMO's on trial accounts like  FFXI which i got boned into paying for two months cause i subscribed like a noob in the middle of the month not knowing their billing cycle,  EVE Online and SWG. 

     

    I liked EvE fine gameplay wise, i just didnt like the fact sometimes  it would take a month just to skill up a level that move's waaay to slowly for me, even if it does train while your offline, it still moved slow for me. definatly not my game.

     

    SWG i just didnt really like from the get-go..  I hated the han-solo starting zone intro thing.  if they where gonna turn the game into a basic world of star wars craft system they could've atleast gave each race its own starting zone or planet IMO. the textures looked blocky for one thing, and jedi as a starting class seemed kindof overpowered to me . the only thing i truely enjoyed in that game was space combat.  Ground combat seemed real bulky too me and just didnt really agree with me at alot of points.
