in Age of Conan: Unchained

FYI:

USK finally rated the german version of the game. The german version is for germany, austria and the german speaking part of switzerland.

Game is rated 18+, there will be no decapitations and they removed 5 of 50 fatalities. They really must be horrible hehe.

No changes on female models or anything else.

German community seems to be pissed because 18+ prOn or horror movies are uncut. Germans are full aged at 18. Players 30+ just shaking their heads. Eidos UK will make the big buck or probably Funcom with digital download lol. Swiss and austrian people are swearing at us because Funcom will release only one german version and they have to use ours.

    how on earth do they police the German speaking part of Switzerland? surely you cant restrict areas of a country on these issues?

    MMO wish list:

    -Changeable worlds
    -Solid non level based game
    -Sharks with lasers attached to their heads

    Its easy. Switzerland uses PEGI rating. Since they are a country with 4 official languages they will be able to buy the french or english PEGI version or the german version. Since Funcom only creates one german version they have to buy the german USK rated version.

    Hmm, oh I don't know, maybe because virtual decapitations are illegal in Germany?

    Hard to answer because i have not seen the 5 removed fatalities. I had to use a translator and i hope its the right word. But usually its about "glorification of violence". I guess those fatalities look uber cool and are very brutal at the same time. Additionally they are most probably very realistic (mo cap) animated.

     

    Its like dumdum bullets. A common bullet kills a person, a dumdum bullet kills the perosn but also does horrible damage to a body. This unneccessary overdoing of a kill is what hurts the "german soul" like naked nipples hurt the "american soul".

    Its a good rating for germany. We keep the blood and 45 fatalities.

    Ahh so they get to keep 45 fatalities and have only 5 of them censored. Thats not so bad, but still im glad I aint a German. :P (no offense)

    I want no probably poorly dubbed version and I want decapitations, so I just pre-ordered from UK. And it's even a bargain, considering the price of less than 40 euros including shipping.

    Sometimes it sucks to be a german citizen but i have a question regarding the uk version of the game.

    Can i play with the uk version of Age of Conan on EU servers or will there be servers for each country? Is the uk version also censored in nudity and/or gore ?

    Even though i live in Britain i hope this never happens in Germany because it may cause a snowball effect.     The world is going down the pan and instead of main issues like crime ect being looked at, video games are made the scape-goat.

    I completely agree about the world is going down hill. And i just want to say WTF at killing NPCs and what not having real life consequences. That is just crazy. I wouldn't know what to do if that were to happen where I live.

    What I read so far is that you can play with any european version on any european server, so UK version on german server should work well. Also rumor is there'll be language packs available some time after or at release.

    The registration key just determines what you will see. And UK version will be full gore, full nudity.
