I can't get this game to work... please help!

I've tried to get this game to work on 3 different computers now, and I'm having the same problem on all of them. It downloads fine, and it installs fine, but when I go to patch it, It will go through the patching for a bit, then it always gets the same error:

 

Could not open local file for writing. Please make sure you are logged in as administrator or that you have write permission in the Anarchy Online directory.

 

I don't understand this at all, because on all 3 computers I tried this as Administrator only. I'm not really sure what to do, is this a common problem? Please help me get this thing working, it would be greatly appreciated.

I was having this problem last night (running XP os) and the patcher is acting weird while im tryin to update right now. sometimes i would get that same error, but another patcher window opens and continues to work @_@ must be some glitch or somethin; anyway if you haven't allready try going to:

(if for some reason that link doesnt work go to anarchy's main page and on the left click downloads and updates.) follow what it says on the page to manually update the patch pieces that will not install threw the auto patcher.

I just had that same problem. I just exited the patcher and started it over again and it started working. I also changed my firewall settings so the patcher to a trusted application.

SO try that and see if it works for ya.

I've had the same problem , and i've read alot of info , and the answer is to just keep reloading the patcher until it works . Btw i'm on vista and it patches after a little while
