Would it surprise you if I told you that I was 14? Not really I suppose since I'm not well known around here, but for the people who have actually read my posts somewhat... How do I compare?

I've been lurking for a while, and must say that, from what I've seen, I'm shocked.  You strive to use proper grammar, capitalize words that require such, construct coherent sentences - rare things for most people these days.  Congrats little dude!

  • It would. That's not to say I haven't met perfectly sane and intelligent people your age, just not so many these days. You carry yourself well, I respect that.

Also you like pirates, which as we all know are superior to ninjas, so you demonstrate good judgement.

Pretty good.  I wouldn't say I'm surprised but more likely I'd say I'm pleased.

Also this whole thread is way too serious and lacks some immaturity so let me be the one to throw it in.

    Boobies!

    there... much better.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

You have succeeded in what many women aspire to do.  You have been able to come off as 2 years younger then you actually are.

Actually, he tells his parents what he wants to say, and they clean it up and post it.

My faith in humanity has been restored, especially after reading that yugyug kid's posts.

Why do I get the feeling I'm going to get in trouble for saying that?

You're doing fairly well. Compared to some other posts by other 14 year olds whom, while they are mature, seem to lack feeling for grammar and spelling you do quite well on those. I myself is 16 (soon 17; like anyone cares) and from Sweden, but I do my best to spell most words correctly and use fairly good grammar.

EDIT: My awesome skills at math tells me that I suspect my age was actually 14 when I joined this site. After checking some of my earliest posts I'm fairly impressed by myself, I actually had quite good grammar and sense of spelling. A bit overuse of "thro" and "tho", but otherwise quite good.

Well thank you everyone. And as everyone has said, I do try to make my posts comprehendable by using correct grammar, spelling and such.

I thank everyone again, even though I have not been here for a long time. I am actually surprised that people know me somewhat.

Yeah kiddo I would have to say you've some decent grammar and a way of typing.

    Good for you.

I was about...20 or so when I started comming to mmorpg.com, but before that I practically lived on stratics.com.

Good times, pity mmo's only came out (like the realm/UO) when I was leaving the fun that is being a teenager.

You're a good poster, much more behaved than two others that have been posting random things here the past few days.  And thank you for not talking leet speak as well, that just irritates me to the point I block the posters messages lol.  Keep up the good work!

This website is a safe haven for trolls and haters. I'm done with this pathetic site.

You certainly would have fooled me. I was 14 when I started posting here (Currently 18), and I don't even think my original posts were that well done. Kudos, especially compared to yugyug and his lover. Bringing a little respect back to our generation is a good thing.

you know what would really surprise me?

if you attended public school and if you only had one parent.

you compare: you are in the top percentile of your peer group.

something I hope my son achieves.

    good luck.

Dear Lord, you stalker. I live with my mother and I do in fact attend public schools. I do not make this up to exalt myself.

When I played UO, before voice-chat was widely used, I lied about my age and told everyone I was 5 years older. I felt that I was accepted as I was with everyone thinking I was 20 instead of 15 and that if I admitted my real age my game-friends would still be nice to me  but my age would always be a factor. Looking back I think it helped that I used good grammar and was pretty reserved. Though I still remember things I did that really showed my age if anyone was paying close enough attention.

Interesting topic. Nice blend of "Seriously, they still exist?" type of thread and some sense of humor. I don't like to judge a person but often times, I adjust myself with the crowd depending on how they speak/type their words.
