New player, is this game worth sticking with?

Hi Guys,

I realise the game has a very polarised stance by many. Just a few questions:

1. It looks like the game isnt overly popular, going by number of servers....do we have a confirmation that the devs are sticking with adding content to the game? We arent heading for another Auto-Assualt are we?

2. With increasing your level of character, is there a larger variety of playstyles and combat options on offer (Im only at level 5, so this us unknown to me). At the moment I just alternate between firing my maching un and lightnight arc.

3. Is the gameworld large? Lots of variety to see?

4. Is there much happening on the group and guild front?

5. Does hunting weapon /armour drops become important, ala Wow?

6. Whilst playing, there was some mentioning on general chat that one of the big guilds had disbanded and left the game...is there a player exodus happening, or is there a general feeling that new players are coming to the game?

Apologeis in advance for my questions being broad and over the place

Thanks!

    1. While the game may not be the most popular mmo out there, they sitll have much more than enough people to sustain the game for quite some time. My server Pegasus hits peak hours at around 7-8 o clock and gets a good medium range for the majority of the time i play. I also have lots of people to talk to at night, and always see familar names online.

    2. Let me put it to you this way, Pistols dont ever go out of style, that was enough to keep me playing. Even though im a sniper and I use my touqe rifle alot, I love to jump and destroy everyone with my pistol, pistol whipping is awesome too, especially when you have it all the way pumped up.

    3. You will go on quite a jounry from two planets and back and forth between them if you like. Dont listen to what people say, some say the landscaped arent big enough for vehicles, half those people havent seen the later 25 plus levels in the game, they are huge, the area you are in now is still the "Starter" area. just wait till you hit up divide.

    4. Grouping has become more needed since the last patch, which i think is great, and i just joined a damn good PvP Clan, the best on the server in fact, we even correspond with the TR devs and try to help balance combat with PvP.

    5. I have never once "Wanted" or "Needed" to hunt for weapons, i find it shallow and un-needed. You get good enough stuff from missions anyways. If you wanted to be "The Best at PvP" I guess you could go all out and get the best stuff possible, but it wont help you if you dont know what you are doing with your weapon/skills.

    6. That big guild your talking about didnt all just pick up and leave, they actually disbanded because of a leadership/authority problem, that sadly i helped start .  I see many new players on /2 and help them out, go ahead and join the pegasus server and ill help you through the game and tell you whats what. PM me if interested.

Also trust me if your just hitting level 5, keep playing man, when i first played in beta, i didnt get past level 3, and stopped. I came back right after launch and well...ive been playing for a long time lets say that.
