All this massive pvp sieges is quite interesting but what about lag? Will fc's server be able to handle all this traffic making it playable?
Any feedback is apreciated....

we probably won't know until its out. but you never know maybe the AmazingAvery has some helpful info
Lag can and probably will be a deciding factor, particularly in PvP. Funcom has stated though that they believe their servers at least are up to the test, quoting a minimum FPS of 20 for their more recent trial runs.
Of course, if one tries to play with a substandard comp... Well lets just say you'll have issues.

i do remember in WoW at the AQ opening gates event, where a decent amount of players ~300 gathered at a certain game zone, server couldnt handle it,giving 2-10 fps, which was really awfull.Assuming that Blizzard is one the serious game development companies, providing good quality of servers, shall we except anything better from Funcom.I have to admit that im among those mmo players who are expecting alot from AoC
I remember, 1 month ago, when Horde was attack Stormwind and Ironforgie on BL, after 10-20 minutes, server was down . Blizzard must multiple slots of BL...

Athelan also said they had tested with up to 400 players so far.
How does server not being able to handle a certain number of players give you bad fps? Thought there was a difference between FPS lag and latency lag...
The Australian magazine, Atomic MPC did a preview this month and once again they were stuck with bots.
They asked how the combat system would handle with lots of players since AoC is more twitch reliant that other MMOs which are point and click. Can't directly quote here since I was reading the mag at the newstand but it was something to the effect of, "we're working on it".
How the game runs with real players from all over the world in the game will be the real decider.
Have Funcom had any playtests at gaming conventions and things like WAR has for just over a year now?
Or just the very limited beta?
I am pretty sure the OP is talking about Age of Conan and NOT World of Warcraft and Stormwind and bots and 400 players on some server, etc.
Age.
Of.
Conan.
Stay on topic!

If you read around the web there are legitimate concerns about AoC's ability to deliver.
This isn't a HIT on the game, it's a concern based on reality of the Internet, their game coding and of course, FC's ability to make it all happen.
"Twitch" combat like AoC wants to provide sure it works small scale, but remember Planetside? Yeah that game is IMHO the best "example" of adding real time combat into an MMO format. It didn't always deliver.
IMHO FC has great ideas, but within 6 months it's going to be obvious how badly the system works and they'll "revamp" the combat to fix it.
Shame too really, but hey if I am wrong, mo'better for the AoC crowd.

Very good point, there is a huge difference between CLIENT lag(which usually gives low FPS) and SERVER lag, which will more likely cause disconnections/crashes that affect many people.
It really helps in threads like these when people actually understand how computers work and can define "lag"(it can mean a bunch of things), so people don't get confused with this type of stuff.
It always makes me laugh and shake my head at the same time when I see people complain of "server lag" and how bad their frame rates are and how awesome their system is and shouldn't be getting lag with 400 people in a battle.
Lag is an internet connection and/or server issue, it has absolutely nothing to do with your computer whatsoever. The only thing your computer has to do with is your frame rate when the system is trying to process all those on screen graphics. You could go out and buy the most expensive and fastest gaming rig possible to make the frame rates smooth as butter running 60 frames per second in a huge battle but if the net and games servers cannot handle it you are going to get lag.
Lag does not equal bad frame rates. They are 2 completely separate issues with nothing to do with each other all. Lag is when you press a button to do an action but that action takes several seconds to happen. Bad frame rates is when the animations slow to slide show like choppiness. They can look similar at times but they are very different in cause and remedies.
I really hope AoC's combat system works the way it should. I think if the real time combat system fails due to lag it will make the game fail which is something I definitely do not want to see happen. I want to play AoC.
