Was anyone there for when the first Jedi unlocked and that message was sent out by Vader I think throughout the server telling everyone to kill them or something. My memory isn't so good lol but I remember a message like that being sent out to everyone.
Something about a "disturbance in the Force".
Followed by a flood of posts on the Jedi forum asking 'wtf did you do, dude?'
The thing is the very first unlock was different from all that followed in that the first unlock was killing pikets on Dantooine when they got the message, but everyone else that followed just finished adding a master box when they got the word. Because the system was just turned on one day, well into the run.
Then unlocking the slot became the focus of the game, instead of having fun, for a lot of players.
CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

The very first person to unlock happened to be the first one to log on after servers were down for a publish and maintenance. I got online maybe half hr later and unlocked. I went to train for master Ranger as I had just got enough apprentice points to earn master, soon as I trained the message appeared and I was told I had unlocked. Had I trained the night before I would have unlocked immediately (and been the 1st on eclipe server, I was 3rd instead)
It was obvious that jedi was never possible at launch like SOE told us. Immediately after that publish, we all started to unlock as soon as we got online or finished training a master skill. Just another lie by SOE

Would have prefered them never to work on Jedi then we might have had some content instead of every publish being about Jedi all the time lol, eventually it became about jedi v BH all the time.....
I admit I unlocked 2 by the holocron stage but only to say I done it and to sell one for cash.
Mine was the Brawler trainer outside the Bestine Starport. I remember running in and out of Bestine as fast as I could in case I was being followed by a BH. Paranoia was never so fun So where was your trainer?

What was worse than running in and out of ME to get the training and return safely to Dantoine where I had my safe house in the mountains were those times when I got to a starportand jus missed the shuttle. That meant a 10 min wait in the lobby watching every player who came by in case they were the BH. Very exciting.

Yeah I remember that one. I was in Mos Eisley Med center at the time of the msg and people(I was one of them) started to run through the town, back and forth, like a lynch mob searching for the Jedi. I dont think anyone at the time really understood what was happening and what the msg really was about. But it was fun!
When it all settled down a little, people rushed back to the already full cantina and talked like crazy about it. Rumors everywhere. "I think that guy is a Jedi" "I think I saw a Jedi worrt outside" "Oh man... I wonder if Im a Jedi." "Hey all Vader is in Theed!" "No Way!*rush of to theed*" . At the time there was so few Jedi in the game that you could count them on one hand. So no wonder it was the hot topic that day/evening.
Ahh thanks for the memories. Wouldnt mind to go back in time and play from the launch to that point again. Afterwards,when "the way of the Jedi" secret got out, it all went a "little" crazy.
