They tried to charge my credit card for the monthly fee even though I never signed up for one. I sent them a ticket (lol....like they'll ever get around to looking at it) saying "DO NOT CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD"
Even more disturbing is the fact that there doesn't seem to be a "cancel subscription" or "cancel account" option anywhere in the account page. beware companies that are going under. They might do desperate things. I've already contacted the Attorney General here in my state and informed them that I suspect Auran of possible credit card fraud. If they charge my card again for anything, you can be sure i'll press this issue.

I tried to upgrade to immortal but it didn't work.
First I went to the account page, updated my credit care information and noticed something there.
It said: if you don't want to be charged do not add your credit card information, weird because I hadn't ordered anything yet, I was just trying to add my info. I clicked ok anyway and went to upgrade my account, filled in the key and got to the next page, it said select one option from the list below and click "upgrade" but there is no list below, just a button that sais upgrade and when I click it it sais; please select a plan.
So theres obvioussly a bug there but I'm a little worried about that warning on the credit card page, does it mean they will charge me now? What was their name listed as on your credit card report?
u do not need to use a credit card to sign up if u have a cd key from buying th game imput it thenit gives u a options of 1 month immortal that is what u choose.
if u put a credit card on there then when the 1 month runs out it will charge your credit card lots of games do that so auran is not frauding anyone.
the site doesn't just select a plan for you, however there has been some confusion on the plan page since release. If you selected anything other than free month, you will be charged.
he tickets to looked at and responded, so contacting CS regarding, was the right route to go. If you want to ensure there are no future charges, change your cc # to jibberish, that way even if there is a fault in the system, or the gremlins do try to charge you, it won't go through.
The billing partner (aria) has been a slight pain for a long time, not necessarily Auran's complete fault.
Same issue here, there was no option for a "free to play" account when I created mine. Just got charged and tried to cancel, but theres no option to do it through the website. I submitted a ticket on the 12th. It is now the 21st and I have not gotten a response. Talk about crappy customer service...
Anyways, I followed your advice and changed all my credit card information to complete nonsense.
Having a game advertized as "Free to Play" and not providing a "Free to Play" option is absurd at best, fodder for a lawsuit at worst.
Edited for horrid grammar
There is a free option, hero status
