Piracy, Warez, Free servers, what to do?

For example:
Stormcraft and other free servers around based on quality MMORPGs.
What Blizzard would be able to do about those? I'm from Brazil, the paradise of piracy, and I got some problems in my community lately:
A few programmers managed to create a free WoW server in Brazil. As founder and admin of my community, I'm totally against that. I want to show that there ARE serious people in this country after all. People that will pay, but they will enjoy the quality of a true MMORPG. I didnt ban the guy that posted about this server, but I deleted his topic and Im trying to convince the other users that the gaming experience in free servers are only worth to destroy the image of the real game.
I would like to hear your suggestions, your thoughts about this.

My opinion is that it is a load of BS. No way he has a WoW server already. He is full of it...
As for piracy, bad for the industry. Everybody does it to an extent. Just how far each individual pushes it is up to that person and his morals.
As for free servers, that is up for debate.

The hacked servers serve no purpose other than act as a partial demo for the product, giving you a glimpse of what the final retail product may look like. If you play on the servers to see how the game LOOKS (graphics, interface etc), then I see no problem with that. Anyone who goes on the hacked servers to experience the GAME is an idiot and shouldnt be there (because the hacked servers are extremely incomplete).

I agree with you guys that being able to see the game's graphics and feel a little of the game itself is very important before buying it.
The problem is, the free server culture brings a lot of problems, I was wondering, if I make a game, and someone makes a free server of that game. Would I be able to do anything about them?
And the open betas are around... if im not wrong there is going to be a open WoW official beta right?
I think that unfortunately piracy such as this harms the MMORPG indistry more than most industries. If i get a copy of a single player game then a company loses £40, yet if i am playing an MMORPG for free the company is losing normalls at least £100 if i play for any length of time.
The problem is that people, and that includes many whiners on this board will do anything to get something for free.
If it is technically possible to create a free server for a game then i think one will be created, and many people will use it. There should be a way of putting a stop to such activities but people tend to do this in countries where the law enforcers have better things to worry about such as murderers and drug lords.

Yes you could try suing them or something, but why would you want to? For an mmrpg, no one would want to play on hacked servers for extended gameplay purposes. The 'game' isnt there. There are no quests, no events, no world updates etc. All it is is emulating the basic world with basic mobs and items. The hacked servers serve mainly the only purpose of providing a partial demo for a game that ISNT open beta and ISNT retail yet. If im waiting for a game, and open beta is 2-3 months away, a hacked server can provide some example of what I should expect. If it doesnt meet my graphica/interface expecations, I can then move on to other games without having to wait.

IF you WANT Computer Viruses, Spyware, etc then by all means download stuff from Warez.
If they want to get in via a backdoor, what's to say that they aren't using a backdoor or keylogger to get into your system?

Viruses? Spyware? From Warez? Puhlease. Ive gotten exponentially more crap just installing divx, kazaa and other apps. Dont get me wrong, im not advocating warez in any way, just pointing out that your statement is very much without merit.
