How Do I Lock My Karma? Going To The Chaos Shrine and ......

I went the Chaos Shrine and repeated the mantra "bal" (this is the mantra according to uo stratrics), it didn't lock my karma.
I found another website that states the mantra is "Balh" I did that and it still wouldn't lock my karma.
What am I doing wrong? The character is only 3 days old but he doesn't have young status.

if i remember correctly it can be done with right click of the mouse on the ankh, that should bring up a context menu with the option to lock karma
