Well first the people that authored the NGE and the CU and all the other lies told to SWG players over the years would have to be turfed.
Then SOE and LA would have to officially apologize for allowing those people to treat a few hundred thousand people and a great IP with utter disdain.
Then they'd both have to put up a pre-cu server under the condition that they wouldn't CU or NGE it yet again. They'd have to modify their EULA saying that changes to core game mechanics will not be made to those servers, and minor improvements would be made with at least a month's notice to players.
They'd also have adopt a new policy of truly honest communication with players, no more telling people what they want to hear just to keep a sub, and obviously no more bait and switch tactics or dishonest marketting strategies.
This would really involve a complete changing of the guard in upper management, and a new philosophy of doing business in the MMO field, backed up in writing, and more importantly by consistent action.
If they could pull all that off, I'd re-evaluate my positon of not returning. Those would be minimum requirements at this point though after all Smed and the gang have pulled.
If they really did all that, I'd start as a Bothan musician that would be a master pistoleer ^_^. You wouldn't know about the pistol thing though until you dueled me and got your head blown off. Ah, good memories lol.
If SOE and LA can't manage this though, I'm really enjoying myself in CoH, and I'm content to wait for another StarWars MMO.
