I've been trying to find a game to replace WoW(4 70's) for a month and finally decided to try CoV again, I played it 2 years ago and got a lvl 7 mm but gave up.
The game is so much better than I remember, and the crazyness of character customization gives me a b. Not to mention I love not being equipment dependant.
Theres too many features to list for this game that I love, but so far my highest char is 13 rad/rad with about 7 other chars between 4-10.
My gf(who hates WoW) just started playing too and I've convinced a lot of friends to hang up WoW for CoV, weather I stay when Warhammer comes out is undecided.
But if you are looking for a unique experience this is it.
Note: Make a character on Freedom(most populated), there is at least 30+ players lvls 1-10 every day, seems like CoV is getting a lot more attention thanks to the latest patch that has made lvling a lot easier/smoother.
You can solo in this game, but the bigger your team(group) the better exp you get, A LOT better. Plus it's easy to find a group.

Hi Drolkin, I quit WOW for COH/COV. You are right, Freedom and Virtue are nicely populated. I think the game is crazy fun. Especially compared to its initial start. NC has done a very good job with this game. Why I play it!

I just started playing this too, and having fun. Tho, I can already tell there's going to be some majoring grinding and I think the powers could of be as diverse as the customization.
Yeah, Freedom and Virtue are great... If you enjoy LAG!
I recommend people skip those servers and join Protector. Mainly cause I'm on it. That's why it's so awesome.
Also, Epic Villain Archtypes have just been announced. They are Wolf Spiders and Blood Widows and they look really awesome!
Love this game as well. You look unique and the missions are much better (even though you're doing the exact same things as in most other MMOs, you somehow don't feel like "errant boy #9").
The lack of a real endgame greatly appeals to me as well. Allows you to have fun while leveling, as there's no need to rush to the end. Thanks to the scaling, I can even join in a Giant Monster fight as a low level!
Lots of other reasons why this game is great though! Only downside is that I can't get my friends to play it as they don't like "spandex" (their derogatory term for super-heroes/villains).

If you guys are looking for a group to play in our svg has established base on Freedom vill's and also play on champion blue and redside. As for lag I run Quad core and have none thats right none, maybe some rubber banding once in a while based on the odd packet loss. We have alot of former WOW players and also my GF play's to

I'm mad. The parcel havent reach the destination - my house. I am waiting.. and waiting it makes me quite nervous ;p hey but tell me how many people are playing ? Coz i am afraid that there are few people and i wont find any buddies there ; ( thanks for reply .
Im not sure what the overall population is by the #'s for the game or by server but you won't have trouble finding people on freedom thats for sure. As far as our guild gos we had 47 people online today at some point so we are fairly busy
Im actualy updating to try this out havent had a mmo fix months and months so i thought id give this a try havent played since launch i quit shortly after got a bit repedative but meh im bored wanna see whats new !
This game is indeed quite awesome. I've played Stalkers and Brutes for a long time, and the classes in this game are actually pretty incredible.
Oh its nice, i heard freedom server is quite lagy, is that true? Dunno which one to choose. Anyway i havent got the game yet so i dont have a choice hehee ;p One thing is bothering me : I bought COV so after the install can i play the Hero too or its just the COV game and i have to choose the villain? I am asking coz i read an article about it and i dont understand it ;p ( sry for my bad language, its a bit early and i am tired ; ) )

i been playing this game a month here and there since it launched and i love it but use to hated the higher lvls couse the grind was a killer now with them "fixing" the lvl xp its fast and super fun times all the time now solo is fun if you only have 30 min game time go in a pvp zone to solo dont need to pvp at all just get a mission and do it there you get more xp in the pvp zones !!! not to many know that but it true so spend you solo time in a pvp zone you will see you lvl faster then normal mission but if you can get a group and it is easy to get one do that for sure and if the group sucks, the leader is slow setting up mission or its a debt farm group get out and get a new one and dont think you will hurt peoples feeling saying sorry i need to get a new group trust me they dont care so dont say "oh my guld calls i have to go" we all know this isa lie hah anyway have fun and the high population server Freedon Vertue dont lag that much if you have a good connection and if you lag its only on the main maps not in a mission there instanced well i dont see much lag at heavy server times anyway and i use DSL
Hey but i wonder if the game COV has the content of COH? So i have all the animations, graphics, items from COH in COV application? thats what i am courious about : )
you get all in cov that you would in coh only the starting power sets are not the same a brute is not a tank brutes get a rage meter that helps them max there damage but they are the tank class for COV as a tank in COH gets a auto taunt every attack they do helps to taunt mobs so every type of hero is not like every type of villan but they all have there roles to play the healers in COV are not as powerful as the ones in COH no one in COV could out heal a defender in COH

That is only for accounts that existed before November 17 2007. Now if you buy CoV you get CoV, if you buy CoH you get Coh, if you buy Good vs Evil you get both.
Me and my friend constantly leave (and return to) WoW to play CoV all the time. WoW's a good game, don't get me wrong, but CoV has so many different things to offer that makes it fun. I like how you get to the level cap and then can just start all over with a new toon. It's all about making new, interesting characters and having fun along the way, instead of focusing on grinding and raiding....and raiding....and raiding! Can't wait for Champions Online
