Build Request, 28pt Human, 13 Cleric / 3 Pal @ 16

I tried to post on DDO, but found that as a trial-participant I apparently don't have the rights to create a new thread (that or I was banned before I ever even posted! hehe).  I searched that site for such a build, but just don't seem to be able to find what I need.

Primary purpose of build is to solo, but still be capable of decent support.  I want a toon I can live with long enough to gather that 1750 faction, but still have fun with when not grouping (I often don't have time).

Stats:  14str, 8dex, 12con, 8int, 16wis, 14cha  (As I am at work, if I misremember these numbers it might be I have con is too high).

I like the idea of being able to turn undead, etc thus the higher then absolutely  necessary Cha.  At level 1 Pal I spec'd Khopesh with the thought of going sword and shield mostly.

What are the critical feats and enhancements that I should be after here?

Help much appreciated.  If there is already a thread with this detail that I missed please point me to it.

Have you looked at this site? You don't have to use any of the builds, but it can give you an idea and maybe a direction where to go.

One thing I'd question is "why paladin and not fighter"?

Cleric and Paladin synergize quite well with each other, alot more than Fighter does.  Cha bonus to saves, martial weapon prof, immunity to fear, and the aura bonuses.

I forgot about the Auras.  That is a key reason to me for Paladin over Fighter.  I also like that I get Lay on Hands at 3.  Not sure how useful that is later in life, but it's a nice backup in lower-mid levels.

Thanks for the tenton link.  I have not been there for DDO -- I'll go there now and check it out.

I went and checked out the builds at tentonhammer.  Nothing there seems to fit well with this build, but some good info for other purposes. 

The warrior priest is closest, but that uses fighter 4 rather than paladin 3.

Are you planning on meleeing alot? Or see yourself more for casting, well going melee you are going to want a semi-decent str. My WF Battlecleric started with a 14 STR, with self buffs it has been plenty, I am doing fine with a 16 starting WIS, you probablly will want to start with a CHA with a positive bonus since you are going more Paladin than I did ( I went 1 Paladin). Dex and Int will probablly be your dump stats, do not neglect CON.
