HG:L or Tabula Rasa

i am going to be buying a game pretty soon, and i wanted and mmorpg/fps and the only good ones i see out right now are HG:L and TR. I want fast paced action, which i can see TR has but i dont know about HG:L. i have heard about TRs has no endgame content and i guess im ok with that. And I pretty much know nothing about HG:L and was wondering if someone could inform me on it, does it mean what is says when they say MMO where 1000s of players play simultaneously, or is it  look for a room to join woth 4-8 on it only? and tell me a little about the gameplay please.
