    Right...I'd say FFXI as well. Between North America and Japan, believe it has quite a lot. Add in Europeans soon as well

    Well I don't know about current populations, but the most famous would either be EQ or D2. If you consider D2 to be an MMoRPG

    Uh Diablo 2 is not an MMORPG.  FFXI does not have the most subscribers, it has the most characters, they go by characters since it costs extra per character.  Lineage1 has the most accounts worldwide.

    Neither is FFXI.  It never was.

    Actually in Japan I heard, Ragnarok Online is more popular than FFXI

    face it, FFXI is still wayyyy better than Diablo II in EVERY way :) ok lets make this a little FAQ section :):

    1: first of all the graphics , there is just NO competition to it. We ALL know FFXI beats the hell out of DIABLO II in graphics.

    2: Community, FFXi again :) lots and lots of forums, fan sites with friendly people that dont go by the "Fu%$# n00bs" saying.

    3: It has more features. In FFXi you can do a looot of things so you'll never get bored. Fish, Craft, Participate in a Ballista match ( PvP) Do quests( duh) Missions to follow the story line, Train to becmoe strong( another duh) or if you get enough of playing FFXI go mess with the PlayOnline tools :) chat with people, friends share pics and lots of other stuff , and uhh I dont think Diablo II has this :)

    so yea, umm The only down thing about FFXI is the monthly fee, but they have a lot of players so they HAVE TO pay for the servers they use to let us play so that fair enough. and I dont know what is SOOOO ecxiting about Diablo II... =D thats it.

     Actually i think 500k was subscribers. for characters final fantasy got over a million.

    Last time I played FFXI (after the US ps2 players came), there were roughly around 4k players ONLINE in the server I was playing (Siren). Now x's that by how ever many 20+ servers they have and that's a lot of people. ::::20::

    Ok, I do not count Diablo II as an MMORPG do you guys? I mean it can be fun but it will never be as fun as FFXI or other great mmorpgs. By the way, I've never played FFXI but it sounds good. Just one question : How many players can connect to one server, 5k-10k ?

    Bah, you can't compare them, Diablo 2 was just a hack & slash... kill kill kill loot..ect.. What made Diablo unique was the level generator,  Loved Diablo 1, but when 2 came out it felt like an addon for 1. :( (btw: My choice between the 2 is FFxi, even with it's horid horid painful hurtful mean mean unhappy level grind.)

    oh yea and..umm... To make a FAQ, don;t you first need questions? So to help you out I'll ask the questions...

    1) Which has better graphics?

    2) Which has a better community?

    3) Which game has more features?

    4) How much wood could a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

    In my personal opinon I would have to say that the most popular MMOrpg is going to be WOW... but for a game that has been relaesed I would have to say that FF XI is ranking up in the scale... I just wish that they didn't come out with patches almost every time I play.. It seems like they are updating all the time... ::::07::
