Hey i need some suggestions for a new game to play. Ive already played Lotro, Eq2, Wow. Doac, Eve(Sucked) a ton of those korean mmo's ,Cov/Coh, Mabinogi and some othe less memorable ones. Can someone give me a new game that i wont be bored with after a week. That can atleast hold me over till AoC. Any Suggestions?

Well from the sounds of it you have tried most of the quality games. I am suprised you say you get bored in a week. I have been playing EQ2 and WoW since release of both and still find fun things to do. I think you are simply bored with MMOs and I do not think AoC will change that. It might be time to try some of the great single player games available for the PC. Possibly one of the many good FPS online might be your answer. I do not think there is a hidden MMO out there that will keep you interested since none of the games you mentioned have achieved that.

Well i play most of the good fps's out there already such as Cod4, css and some others and the one game on that list that kept my attention I can't play anymore because it doesn't work on vista for me (EQ2)

I play EQ2 on vista and it works great. However that was after I found the hotfix with no help from SOE. The KB940105 hotfix solved my problems with EQ2 after I went to Vista. It was actually the tech support for Hellgate London that directed me to the hotfix. You might give it a try.

Sounds like you need to try some sandbox style games, you seemed to have tried one Eve online, but even though its s sandbox i dont like the space atmosphere... So maybe try some other ones?

Aoc is the supposed new sandbox comeing out, but really i dont find it all that sandboxy... There is a great lack of complete freedom, the one thing i hate is when a company implements very few things to give people the ablity to build something but very restricted and trys to pass it as a sandbox style. The only true sandboxes i know are Eve which is space based, Wurm online which is medeval based, and theres SWG which is one of the clostest other games to come to sandbox, based on again space type stuff.

Anyway good luck man, I can feel your pain, you have listed a bunch of crap games so its no wonder you got bored, theres nothing more boreing then repeditive motions just to level up.

Yeah. I've played WoW and EQ2 both. They were alright. However, I landed at Wurm right now and I'm throughly enjoying myself. Check it out if you like a sandbox type MMO.

I just tried Wurm Online..I couldn't really get into it. Theres no sound for me, is there sound?

I really like the new pirates of the burning sea mmo, Once you learn how the game works its really fun. PoTBS is now my next fav mmo of all time next to Pre-CU SWG (of course). You should really give a shot

Whats Pre-Cu mean? Also anyone have any buddy keys for any game that i could try? Such as vangaurd or potbs?

I would try DDO.  I dowloaded the trial and have actually been enjoying myself with it, at least moreso than I have been with any other MMO recently.

No sound, you're right. The developers are working on it.

Well, the CU, was an evil thing cook up by the SWG dev's (reasons unkown) it was the 'Combat Upgrade' however it was about as much of an upgrade as getting shot in the foot would make you a better soldier... or smashing the keyboard and taking out most of the RAM in your computer would make it better.

After Cu and NGE swg wasn't swg anymore, the devs turned it into a totally different game that everyone hated. Believe me anyone that has played pre-cu swg can agree that it was the best mmo of all time, its sad that the devs destroyed such a great game. However, potbs has a few aspects from pre-cu swg such as a in depth economy and instead of decay like swg once had, we have durabilitly points. i recommend all pre-cu swg players to try out the pirates of the burning sea mmo, i think you'll find something you didn't expect. Im loving the game right now, and the devs are very people friendly.

Actually there is sound, quite a few actually, Sorry I didnt reply sooner, I will make a complete honest review as well as some Tips and tutorial type post soon....

Anyway for the sound, go into the options and into sound, and change hardware to software, that sould work. If you have any problems or questions at all feel free to PM me, would hate to see someone give up playing cuase of a bug like the sound one... Not becuase im trying to keep you in game but simply becuase I actually feel that if people were to give Wurm a try they would fall in love with it, hands down.

Hope you give it another go. Like i said contact me if you need anything.

Yeah Wurm Online can be a bit difficult to get into, when I first started playing I didn't expect it to be such advanced game or what I should say. So I player for an hour or two, then logged of but in lack of doing other things I tried it the day after and I asked around ingame (many helpfull players) and I found another player which let me live with him in his settlement while he taught me the basics.

What got the hooked to the game was that the game is almost totally player controled, that you can actually change the world when you do something.

If you are still interrested, check out my short review here.

Good luck. If it's not the game for you then I hope you find one that is.

Ok I might give wurm another try. Right now I'm playing DDo and I'm liking it. It offers something different than a lot of mmo's. A quick question with wurm though...I can't seem to get it to go to fullscreen and thats really whats killing it. I have massive ADD lol and i can't pay attention to it when its not taking up the whole screen

When you open the Wurm Startup, click options and then set your screen resolution and make sure fullscreen is activated.

Feel free to ask if you have any more questions/problems.
