Just thought I'd help spread the good word for all the Euro players who are dying to get into Beta.
WAR- RvR.net has been selected as one of several websites to host 2 contests. 1 For story writers and 2 for artists. Winners & some Best of the Rest lucky peeps will win Beta Keys!

I'm actually registered to that fan site-forum but I stoped checking it that much - I'm already pretty busy as it is.
Anyway I may try to get part of the contest lets see... Hope a lot of the US/EU members here will get in as well if not even later on.

Unfortantly the contest i posted is limited to EU residents only. I do believe there is some contests off the warherald for the US already.

2) Giving beta keys if you buy magazines
3) No diving.
4) No fishing.

Yes I know this one contest is only for EU but I was already thinking ahead, hehe...
And yes, I do hope that people from US would also get chances like this one, all contests are welcome no matter what you have to do, it's at least a chance to participate if not only for the fun of being in an active WAR community.

Damn it, couldn't they have one that gave prizes to the person that got the nicest looking characters in Guild Wars or something? (No I couldn't come up with something I was good at). I just checked the stories posted and couldn't do much else than be saddened, because I don't stand much of chance against that competition.
Just think of it though the people who get Beta Keys through the contest...are no longer in the running for the random beta keys that go out for each phase. Less competition..tho from the looks of the sign up numbers...lol its just getting ugly. They really need to start taking date of the sign up into consideration!!!!

Agreed they could have made it for 16 at least since the game might be rated for 12.
It's not an issue of how the game is gonna be rated. If you're not 18, you won't get into any beta that has an NDA.
And if you do, you better hope they don't find out or they'll kick you right back out.
The whole age factor comes down to what they can hold you responsible for & parents etc etc. Laws in various countries differ on this. Whatever rules GOA has for the contests is set according to European law since they are a European country so don't blame us americans...rofl

Hmm you're probably right... Then again that's not totally a valid excuse to exclude people like Godliest out of the contests.

What I wrote was a personal comment, meaning I think I know what Godliest is capable of, as in response to certain things and his sensibilty towards things - and yes you can make an idea through Forums like this one. If you knew what he already posted albeit is age... and comparing to other comments made by "older" people... It's just... Derision!

To grom then regarding faking my age, that could be a possibility, and I did consider it. My general position when it comes to faking or lying is that I do my best to avoid; from my own experience I've found that you usually end up with problems from it. In this case I could see how now being 18 could be a problem as I may very well be forced to give my account name (if I should win that is) where it states that I'm only 16, while that may not be a major trouble, you never know if I still would be able to get into the beta.
You've got a good head on those shoulders Godliest..it sucks you can't participate in the contest but there's always the random beta invite and Open to look forward too.
Sucks when the game goes live I'll be on the NA servers and it seems the cool people will be on the EU ones!

Thanks. I understand why you have to be 18 to participate in the contest but it still sucks. The thing that annoys me the most is not the fact I can't participate in this contest but the fact that I always encounter either "USA only" or "Must be 18" whenever I want to participate in a contest. I suppose I'll stick to my luck, which means I can as well give up the idea.
I would say that all cool people will be on NA servers. The most people on these forums seems to come from USA; I always feel very lonely here sitting all on my own posting from EU.
