Harder combat not Slower combat

They up the hp and slowed down fire rate to make mobs harder in response to players wanting more challenge.  This resulted in slower combat and while bossses are closer to what they should be most every other mobs its a bit to slow.

They took the easiest route for them by uping the hp and lowering fire rate. This is not what was wanted but rather more challenge not slowing of combat.

Below i am listing a few ideas i had on how get a better balance.  Feel free to comment and add your own ideas.

Increas fire rate back up to where it was.

Slieghtly lower hp.

Give mobs more special attacks.

Give mobs more AI conditions/results/options.

Lower exp if needed  (they might have slowed combat down because of players lvling too fast if so just lower the exp from mobs rather then slowing combat down, personally i would leave quest exp only as completeling objectives should be an awarding option for those who seek them out)

For the special attacks just have like mobs a certain % of time open up with a certain attack or an ai condition where they use an special attack.

Example: 5% chance first attack is short term aoe blind

Example: if 2+ players are within 15m of each other use high explosive grenade

most of this is basic if then stuff and should not be very diffacult to add

 

Then I suggest have the mobs give the appearence of using more tactics

Example: when attacked a certain boss mob orders guards to attack they open with a slow or hold and the boss falls back and uses ranged long range attacks or even an art stirke, This combined with game text orders and responises

Example: when attacking a base the mobs form a more organised combat line and attack groups even a small base camp with temp turrets and a boss

The easiest way i see to make them seem more intellengent when say attacking a base is set up capture objectives for the mobs rather then just attack sheild hack control center.

By adding more steps to the mobs set up an entrenched pos and attack groups with skills it would make it harder without slowing it down combat. This could also make vechicals more use other then transport for attacking entrenched positions or safely moved personal into striking pos of the enemy attacking comander or key temp structure.
