Well, as my title says, I'm looking for a good PvE game. I generally prefer to solo, but I like being able to team up and take on larger challenges if I feel like it (In other words, I like a game where I can play Solo or with a friend or two and experience the bulk of the games content.) I like to have alot of quests, and I REALLY really hate Farming/Grinding against monsters over and over again, I like to do my fighting for an actual reason. I'm not against PvP, in fact quite the opposite, however I like to see it as something fun to do on occasion, and not a needed path through the game.
I've already played a frankly gigantic number of games, although I've only stuck with a few for more than a little while. My two favorites would be City of Heroes (Whee, Character Customization, always something to do, fun combat system and has a great community) And WoW (Simply because it has a little bit of everything, something I commonly say about the game is that it Spun Mediocrity into Gold.)
So, Any Suggestions? As I said earlier, I have played ALOT of games in the past, so I may have already tried a few of suggested games.
Oh, and my PC is rather powerful, and I can run pretty much any MMO on the Market well.

Well u hit LOTRO right in the center of the nail!
LOTRO is 95% PvE, you can solo the entire game with any class, and there are a crap load of quests like WoW. There is also a ton quests mixed in all that solo content that requires small-to-large fellowships to defeat, not to mention the amazing storyline quests.
PvP is also just a side thing in this game for the bulk of the adventure! You can play as a monster char starting at lvl 10, but you can't actually participate in it with ur real char until lvl 40. Also the PvP zone is entirely skippable...its only accessible via a quick-travel horse and you have to select to go there. So no accidentally wandering in there and getting yourself killed.
As far as the REALLY really hate farming/grinding mobs for no reason, well there is a ton of grinding in LOTRO against the same mobs throughout the entire game but for VERY very good reasons.
They are called Deeds, and you can earn Titles and Traits for them! Rough overview on it:
Kill 60 bears, and all you earn is a silly Bear Slayer title you can add next to ur name. After that is where it gets interesting, you then have to kill 120 bears, but this time you earn a trait that you can equip on ur char that increases ur stats.
I think there are some 18-20 different traits you can get and each has 10 lvls you can unlock and the trait becomes more and more powerful as u lvl it up.
I'd highly suggest you give this game a try, sounds what ur looking for. If you wanna try it, send me ur email via PM and I'll send u a 10-day trial, and the server I'm on and we can meet up, and I'll show u around!

Hmm.. that sounds quite tempting actually. LOTRO is one of the games that I've tried out before, and I didn't really give it enough of a chance. Seeing as Payday is tomorrow and the game's only $20 (Or was it $10 Now?) I think I'll just pick it up and see if I can't get into it a little bit better. (I've already used up two 10 Day trials, and I don't think they'll give me another, Heh.)
Oh, and come to think of it, do you know of any good higher res mods for the UI? The Default UI at my Monitors normal Resolution looks really bad.
I'm still open to suggestions as well.
Honestly, LOTRO may be your best bet. You can either go with that or EQ2 where you have the choice of PvE or PvP servers.
Or any of the countless korean born MMOs that are flooding the market now.
GTFO my internets!
Yeah, gimmie a sec to find the mod I use and I'll post a link and screenie for it. As far as trials go, you can get in again with diff email or maybe the same one. I doubt it matters.
Come join me on Elendilmir server. I have a lvl 50 Minstrel and can help you with anything!
EDIT: Durin's Folk Black I use the full size version not the mini but it all comes in one zip!

Heh, indeed, it's hard to find one that doesn't have at least one Game ruining issue though.
