Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition

High Resolution glossy widescreen 15.4 inch LCD(1680x1050) & 2MP Camera

4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz (2 Dimms)

Speed: 200GB 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive Free Fall Sensor
    thanks :)

Do you know what graphics card you have? Right click desktop space, goto properties, then click settings tab, should say most likely ATI or Nvidia type. I think you will be just fine so far, one dev plays on just the same set up but with 2gb ram and 7900GS Nvidia card.

Personally I will think you will be just fine. You wont be able to probably turn everything up maximum but you will have an enjoyable experience from a "this game runs ok on my machine perspective" and it will still look great (just my opinion). A lot of people think because the graphics look intense in places it will run chuggy on PC's but it is really scalable in the graphics department. Overall though, we won't gauge proper performance until tests come with plenty of people on screen, best thing to do then is get in Open Beta, or grab a buddy key upon game launch from someone.

Thanks :)  I don't mind as much about running everything to the maximum as I do so that I won't lag every second.

You surpass the required for CPU, and are just under Recommended.

If your vid and ram are better than required, you should be just fine :)

There are 3 types of people in the world.
1.) Those who make things happen
2.) Those who watch things happen
3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"

i pass the specs with flying colour...i just built the rig in my sig 4 weeks ago

  • Cool, those minimum specs are lower than I expected. However If your not close to the recommended specs the game is gonna look like fuzzy crap or chug though everything.

interesting how it requires shader model 2.0

and looks as good as it does

meanwhile, eve trinity update requires 3.0, and looks as bad as it does.

not that eve looks bad, but crysis needs 2.0 and looks WAY better

Was I the only person surprised about how low the requirements were? Even the recommended ones?

I'm somewhere inbetween minimum and recommended. The CPU requirement is awefully high however compaired to the graphics card requirement. A 3ghz P4 is recommended for most games.
  • LobotomistLobotomist Member EpicPosts: 5,981

My PC fails the required settings - my CPU is 1.8 mhz , instead of 3.0 mhz

I just hope the game will be playable at bare minimum for me

    1.8mhz!! or Ghz ;)

Dont worry know what you mean. 1.8ghz single core? if so they have said to that a lower clocked dual core CPU will be ok too.

A 7950GX2 is the recommended videocard? Wow that card sits just below a 8800 GTS 640. I'm shock that it would require a card like that. And people where complaining about the requirements of Vanguard SoH. How well does this game run in the beta right now?

The beta version i played in january 2008 at the community event ran great, honestly, on average systems.

The 7950GX2 is not required.. its recommended. Therefore you don't need to be in shock anymore. =)

Obviously its recommended that you enjoy your experience playing hence the high recommendation. I've seen the game run fine with nearly everything turned up max on a 7900gs at said event.

Anything else about beta no one can say without breaking NDA

I have a new, loaded, XPS 1730 and it surpasses all the recommended requirements. Do you all think an Ageia physics card (which is in my Lap top) will help a great deal?

My desktop falls a little short of the recommeded specs though and it is only a year old. Actually the only thing that does not hit the recommended specs I think are my vid cards.  SLI linked 6800s.
