computer problems

in Hardware

I build this computer on cyberpowerinc.com and I;ve had it for like 6 months. Last few months I've had a problem with the computer freezing or randomly restarting. Anyone haev any idea what might cause this and how to fix this little problem?

    Perhaps it doesn't like WoW........

      Seriously though, whenever I've had a system act oddly like that it was due to overheating.  Make sure all case fans are working correctly and fresh air is able to get to the processor fan.

    Check the temp, check the log.

    It's just restart, not bluescreen? I vote for hardware failure.

    But.. I'd try a clean install without virusprograms, firewall and free from codecpacks.

    also update the drivers and such.... after all the software part is updated like windows update and drivers... then get into the heating issues if you have one..... 

    if non fix the problem.... the try another installation of windows.... if that dont fix it.... then you will need to start troubleshooting piece by piece of the hardware.... maybe some fan or something is in had health condition... and they create some sort of power spikes that go to the PSU and screw up the computer.....

    Some time ago I had a problem like that one... and it was some Fan with Lights... one of the LEDs was screw... the point is... that maybe something small and simple can be a great troublemaker lol...
