Blizzard said there may be goblins and blood elves in future expansions

Who the HELL got the idea to do this? I mean, my favorite race in WC3 are goblins. They are so awesome. I would love to be a goblin. Why does it have to be in future expansions when the idea is fresh in their minds and they havent even finished WoW? This is so dissapointing.. I dont want to wait for goblins and blood elves image.

    I think they are trying just to worry about the horde and alliance for now. Goblins are more of mercs, meaning they work for who ever pays them. Blood elves are teamed up with the naga and they both have problems with the horde and alliance. I would personally like to take a shot at playing a Knoll (if they even make it a playable race). Besides it would best if they just finish what they have now. I am looking forward to expansions and see how the story line takes shape. But I guess all we can do is wait and seeimage.

    When did Blizzard make this statement? I wasn't even aware that they were worried about expansions right now. If anything, expansions should be set on the back burner while they work on improving and finishing the game and finishing the beta phases. I think Goblins would be an alright choice if blizzard started creating more races. I just hope they don't go over board like EQ did with there 8 to 10 races or how ever much it was last time I checked. I haven't really heard much about Blood Elves because I never have played WCIII so I am not too sure wheather I would like them added or not. Maybe some day Blizzard will add new races and maybe Blood Elves and Goblins may be those races. All I want is for them to finish up beta and release the game. What a glorious day that will be.

    EQ2 has 16 races now 4 of which are a different kind of elf and 2 different human races *rollseyes*... as for the playable races for expansions they probabaly dont have the next races in their minds yet they are still getting the first push ready never mind expansions..... if they do add races in expansions... Id like to see the following implemented...

    Pandareans
    Goblins
    Naga
    BloodElves

    Maybe if the portal gets opened again maybe a demonic(burning legion) race or something =P (probably not but worth a shot haha =P)

    I remember for sure that Blizzard officials said that Housing going to come NOT with original version but with a new expansion maybe new races will come out too...

    Actualy they said it would be released in one of their first patches thats what they meant not that it will be in an expansion

    they did said it somewhere on their forum can't find it now was long time ago. If you are beta testing right now you can ask the question again on bliz forum... (im talking about housing)

    I never heard from Blizzard that they announced Blood Elves and Goblins. I did see posts that spoke about such topic, yet no blizzard employee ever replied to them, claiming that these rumors were true. I wouldn't mind having those two races in an expansion, I think it would be great, but for now they should concentrate on finishing the game itself.

    They've never made any official announcements, just random things on their forums.

    Housing will be available in their first patch, more than likely. The opening of the portal to Draenor would be a world event for the game image

     

    Races would be in an expansion I imagine, but I've never heard Blizzard actually state that.

    I am not all too hyped up about housing. Just something to add a small bit to the realism in the game. Sure, I'd have a house. Probably wouldn't have much use to it but yeah, I'd purchase one. If I ever maxed out a character and had the spare money. That spare money part is a big if.

    Personally what I would like to see would be a creation of a third faction in the expansion. Although I would seriously doubt it (it would be a very large expansion pack), but I think it would make the game much more interesting. Something like this:

    The Alliance                  vs.                  The Horde                  vs.                  The Damned

    Humans                                                Orcs                                                 Undead

    Dwarves                                               Trolls                                                Blood Elves

    Gnomes                                                Tauren                                             Naga

    Night Elves                                           Goblins                                             Dranei

    For those who forgot, the Dranei were those really ugly invisbile dudes who helped the Blood Elves and Naga out. Personally, I think storywise this would make alot more sense. The Blood Elves and Naga want Arthas dead (for killing Illidan) and Sylvanas (leader of the Undead in WOW) also wants him dead. Makes much more sense then sticking the undead with the Horde. Make it much more interesting with a third faction. And oh, "the Damned" was just some title I just made up real quick. They could probably think of something a bit better, although it kinda fits really well with them.

    That's nice, dude. I like how you broke that down. It'd be pretty cool to play with a triple threat thing going on on the entire world. They'd have to make the world a LOT bigger.

    Umm...yeah....who ever said Be and naga are teamed up are lieing to you....

    NE helped the BE in frozen throne against the naga and all buddy....

    Actually they wouldn't have to affect the world that's being built for the original. All they need to do is add in a bunch of areas through the portal that the Orcs first came from. I don't remember the name of the planet, it was just all desert looking and blown up (it was in the Frozen Throne Expansion pack). That is where the Blood Elves, Naga, and Dranei are hiding at the end of Frozen Throne, and since WOW is 4 years after then (I think 4, it was a few years later from what I remember), they could have built it up to where they now live, especially since the Blood Elves land was destroyed by Arthas. Blizzard just could add a few areas there and maybe 1 big city (for the Blood Elves, Naga, and Dranei). Blizzard could make it into a really cool in game event too where the Undead break apart from (and maybe attack) the Horde while the Blood Elves, Naga, and Dranei invade from the portal from their world. Although this all would incredibly cool I doubt any of it will happen... That would be a ton of work. Just a bunch of ideas.

    Blizzard never said anything about this. However, I would love it if the Pandarens are added to the list of races over the next few expansions but I wouldnt count on it, maybe they would just be implemented as an unplayable race.
