I personally dont like SOE much, and I LOVE Blizzard. Also WOW has a ton of stuff to it that makes it look interesting to play in combat. Talents, secondary skills, Rage bar!
On the other hand, EQ2 has a nice class diversity, 3 tiers of classes that look interesting, but ill prolly play WoW.

Dont get either, because if I buy one and have to put up with you in-game, I think my head might very well explode. Hooked on phonics is your friend!

I think that the best game is going to be the one with the best player community, and that is server based anyway, it'll be a tough call but at least with World of Warcraft you dont have to worry about people from the previous game complaining and acting all know-it-all like. Hopefully they'll have an active roleplaying server or something to add some interest to the games, but as for which one is better, like anyone else, your guess is as good as mine (no one really knows).
Playing - CoH and EQ
Waiting On - EQ2, WoW, and GW

That's BS. Why do people want to play with their friends online. As far as I'm concerned friends stay in my real life, not my virtual gaming life. I make new friends in MMORPG's and they are real friends, like I knew them my entire life. It's not bad to play with your friends online, but don't hold yourself back because your friends don't want to play a certain game, and you do. Personally I'm stuck between EQ 2 and WOW. I never played EQ, but I did play Warcraft single player. So, from experience I'd probably pick WOW. BUT EQ was highly successfull and I would play EQ but it's too old to get into now, so I'll wait for EQ 2 to try it out if it gets good reviews.

Real life friends are the only ones you could trust in MMOG's. Although they may backstab you and betray you (very rarely, unless if they're total assholes who go as low as that), at least you would know what to do the next time you meet them
