We are getting closer to the 2Q of 2008 and there are still no release date as far as i know of. So if there are any of u guys in here that know anything that i dont know of plx inform me ( us ) ?

Some more rumors from germany. A online shop had offered a preorder Beta for WAR with release at 15. April 08 and expected entrance to Beta at May. And Release date for WAR at 15. August 08.
They have to took it back, and now changed it to "secret titel beta release" 15. Apri 08 and "secret titel release" 15. August 08, and all this should be official announced at 26. March 08. And the rumor is most probably correct, a few other online shops have confirmed this under the hand.
So just wait until 26. March and you will know it official.

The August release sounds about right, pushed back a couple months from the June release that was reported, but Beta release April? What's that supposed to mean? That's to long for an open beta.
Well.. i personally thought the same. But it is just a preorder Beta package, with will you give expected access to beta at May. But even then, it is around 3 month of beta(and NDA lift most probably, everything else would make no sense whatsoever), which look at least for me a little bit long.
But that is the information from the online shop, but we will know it exactly at 26. March. But however, it looks at least quite truthful. And there is also a huge discussion about this at a german fan page, and the CM for WAR(from GOA distributer for europe) didnt answer at this thread.. and i guess with a reason, because he can not denied it or confirm it before the 26. march. He normally posts and answer quite regulary there.
Just curious if in all the speculation has anyone heard if the European release is supposed to be simultaneous with the North American release? If what Apraxis mentioned turns out to be true, could be it’s still on schedule for Q2 in North America and a staggered release two months later for Europe…or would it just simply indicate a delay across the board?
Obviously we’re all just guessing and speculating here…

If true, only a natural route for E.A. to maximise sales. Thats $80 for C.E. edition divided by 3 months = $26 a month to beta test? worth it? nah....

Burn them because they keep on doing it. Hyped the beta up, promoted numbers, did their best to get as many names and email addresses not to really test the game but to keep you hanging on and at the last minute offer a deal where you can test for $26 a month and get a plastic figure..

That's fine, and I'm happy you're not. Personally, from some of the information you post on here, I would hate to see the game's direction change due to your style of thinking.
My only problem with what I quoted was your obvious lack of numerical skills. The games will be sold at $50 at release for the game itself. Therefore, the extra money you spend is $30 over the 3 months, not the entire $80. Yes, the monthly fee will probably be around 15 a month, since that is the standard. Although, as for now, paying 30 dollars extra for 3 months of entertainment for a game you know for certain you're going to be playing, isn't too much. Plus, you get extra stuff in the box itself.

Pre Order the C.E @ $80 (option to pay in full) and you get into beta 3 months early before assumed release. $80 (full payment for pre order) divided by 3 months = $26.666 .
Either way they want your money to play beta 3 months from launch - no matter the amount. Thats something I just wont pay for. Even if its $10 or $20. Its obvious if its true then it was all a big set up from the start.
I love when people resort to the "I'm not paying for Beta!" ... its like...they might as well bend over and attach their mouths to their ass. CE's alot of the time come with Beta offers and those beta offers NEVER affect the price because it stays that Price After the Beta is over. Its an incentive for hardcore gaming fans to get some early play in before Open and Live.

Well.. the pre order beta package costs only 9,95€(or around 14$) anyway, so all your calculation is mud. And if this 14$ counts to the CE or the normal is unclear, so both is possible.
But well, WoW started with the preorder Beta, and now everyone offers it. Or was recently a game released without a preorder beta option?
My bets guess....Christmas time 2008. No date has been committed too. In face recient statements were designed to give MORE wiggle room on launch.

There's a couple of places in Europe and uh I think Walmart but I'd rather naw my arm off then order a game from Walmart.
