"While monitoring the progress of the patch deployment, a database issue came to light that we felt was important to address as quickly as possible. In order to ensure the best quality patch possible for our players, the estimated time for the downtime has been potentially extended as we correct that issue. Restoration of service could happen as late as tomorrow afternoon but may be as soon as this evening."

Yeah, I just saw... and I forgot to switch skills late last night to one that would cover more than 24 hours. Although, losing 10-20 hours is pretty insignificant in the greater scheme of being a player since '04.

-_- I forgot to wake up early this morning and switch my skills... No skill progression for me during the duration of the DT, bleh.
Yeah... not thinking that the 14 hour patch time would be extended, I too will be out some training time. If they extend to tomorrow afternoon... could be damn near 24 hours of no skill training. Being a newb, I probably should have planned for a longer one... guess I will learn for the next extended maintenance.
He he, dont count on it, ben around since early 2004, and still i forget to change if skills will end in DTThey said the latest is tomorrow, it could be this evening or later tonight. They are obliged because even if they think there is only a small chance of being delayed till tomorrow they would want to cover themselves in case the worst happened.
yeah CCP is pretty good with those type of things... they actually got Trinity deployed ahead of time, however they also had that not so tiny issue with the boot.ini...

LOL yea thatone was a disaster, I was glad i decided not even to bother to log that day, boot.ini was fixed when i loged, but warning still upseems like CCP encounter problems and hickups every patch, one just has to be patient

For some reason I had a bad feeling about this patch last night when the servers went down (at 10:00 pm EST btw) so I switched on a couple of week long training skills for both of my characters.
Been burned before, but not this time.

This time they will delete boot.ini, and replace it with start.ini.
C:oot.ini will be replaced, of course, for the sake of consistancy.

everyone seems to be talking about a possibility of DT extended to tomorrow lunch, where did you hear this? I cant see anything on message of day and the forums are down.
There was a short period of time the default message you see HERE also had an additional comment about projected times. That has been removed in the last hour or two.
damn evemon told me it was online with 6 pilots, still down though, oh well got a long skill going anyway.
Hehe all is talking about if they have a long or short skill in training. What if...yes what if the training stopped for everyone during the DT....wouldnt it just be great..haha!
