Luna New Server will be desaster (Start at your own risk)
If you are a new player starting in L2 I suggest not to start on luna and this is why. I have seen posts by alot of Botters saying how they will bot their way up on luna and gonna be Hero by july or August. I no doubt believe them. These same people will ruin the server from the start driving up prices. Next they will capture all the castles with thier Bot armies. Then in like 6 months or so NC Soft will open the server to xfers and the Non Factors will xfer from everywhere and you will be just as far behind as you are now.
If you want to play on a nice fun Server try Lionna It is a really great place now that Little Pigs left, they were the above type players, and don't start on Bartz either because most of the above mention players now reside there.

Pro farmers keep prices low because someone will actually be out there farming materials to sell, you can thank L2's dev team for that. Real players generally only farm materials in large quantities when they need them for crafting, and even then they usually end up buying half their mats from bots, anyways. So think about that next time you drop mobs on a bot train. Without them, L2's economy would be barren.
As for the people who will bot their way up to Hero by the end of the summer... First of all, I'll believe it when I see it. Leveling up to hero means hitting lv76 twice on the same character. Doing it on a brand new server means leveling that char from scratch with no ebayed adena (or, really really REALLY expensive ebayed adena).
Second, L2's grind is so long that normal human beings can't compete with the no-lifers anyways, even on the original 3 servers where they've had literally years to catch up. So what's the point in even trying? Rather than complaining about players who are ruining the game, why don't you complain about the developers making the game so suceptible to ruin?
They have said nothing about transfers as of yet. Should be interesting as many Euro players want to transfer "somewhere".

Ill save you the economics rant of supply, demand, and inflation...needless to say just cause they flood the market does not mean its a good thing.
They ar ethe main reason most people use ebay to play.
You're not sparing anyone but yourself.
The main reason that players ebay is that L2 is, by design, extremely condusive to RMT.
