So i've got this fairly nice computer that can run Crysis quite well and I need something to play but none of the games I've tried recently have been much fun. I love RPG's like Diablo, but hate ones that involve complicated stories. I love fps's like Bioshock and Crysis but I hate games like Call of Duty, WW2 or modern day combat sims(blech). I'm not against MMO's or rts's it's just anything with a tedious grind I will instantly chuck, the collect resources, build army, attack, repeat thing drives me nuts and so does grinding it out in mmo's. I play games for the fun of it and if there's any tedium to it I will not play. Any suggestions because I am at a loss here, I would really appreciate some advice. Online games can be great too, as long as they aren't super time consuming and tedious.
Here is a list of games I have played and beat or don't want to play:
-Oblivion
-Gears of War
-The Witcher
-Gothic 3
-Crysis
-Bioshock
-Call of Duty 4
-FEAR
-The Warhammer rts's
-Gothic 3
-Any HL2 related game

Try some RTS. They've gotten really easy to get into the past few years.

doom 3 is a great way to kill about 8 hours, and the online you either love or hate.
So i would try it first.
but for RTS's Comand and conquer 3 is kick ass.
