Quick question:
I know a while back, DDO was trying to crack down on plat farmers by instituting an in game sort of tattle-tale kind of thing where you could report people spamming for plat selling, or report people who actually sold plat to an In-Game GM who would then disable that persons account if enough people reported them.
Just wondering if those policies are correct and if they are having any meaningful impact on the game.

Not sure about the "tattle tale" thing.
there had been a patch that filters spam. I haev not recieved mail from a platfarmer since then. The tell/spam still happens.
I believe it's working since it appears the spammers are attempting to become more agressive even though less of their garbage is getting through.
During the day I'll get a few tells/spam regarding rmt. It's less during the evenings when more people are playing. Last night I even got a few tells from GM's regarding it.
Out of curriosity, what do you call any filter of unwanted material? "tattle-tale" seems like an immature label to a benefical procedure to imrpove the game environment.
p.s. I will NEVER purchase "gold" but have and will play with "farmers" if they are compotent enough to play well.
actually there is a feature in game where you can click on a persons name and report them for harassment right on the spot. Everyone has gotten in the habbit of reporting the RTM spammers instantly now.

I tend to get one tell when i first log in [must somehow have gotten on a friends list], but never any mails, so it is not too much hassle.
