I'm currently downloading the game and would like to know a few newbie questions

What server should i play on?

Is there a class that's easier to level?

any guilds recruiting? that's all i can think of right now

There are only 4 servers to pick from.  Halgar is a Euro server, and Sartok is for PvP.  The other two are US PvE servers, Seradon & Xeth, with Seradon has the highest population.

All the class are pretty easy to level, other than rogue and warrior who can't solo well.  Best soloer would be necro/sorc/ranger.  Tanks are normally in shortage which would be easiest to get group, and bards are always welcome in any group, just there are too many bards running around sometimes.

In the social window under the guild tab, there is a Guild LFM page.  Just put in your search criteria like maturity/raiding/family etc and you'll find plenty of guild recruiting.  Make sure you read their description as well, ie level requirement, needed class etc.

I'm on Seradon and have to say it seems about "right". By that I mean it has enough folks to get groups, guilds and so forth but not so crowded you feel you are at a Minnesota Mall. Of course (as usual) the general chat has your normal mindless blah blah blah.

Regarding class, I have a Shaman and they are a lot of fun also. I forget what level (15'ish???) you get to choose a pet class which can be a tank, melee or dps. Of course you are a healer so if you don't like support classes I wouldn't recommend that. Still I can solo a good portion of things (mostly 3-dot).

In the end I always say, pick the one you want to have fun with, enjoy the journey is what I say.

Any server is fine unless you like PvP then take Sartok.

 

As for classes, there are so many to choose from i strongly suggest playing a few alts to 15 and see how ya like em.

Don't  be too rushed to join guilds alot of the established ones are kinda snobbish and have a holier then thou attitude. I would certainly take my time and get to know who's who on the server first.

ah thanks, but i do like to PvP a lot is that possible on the PvE servers? and is the population decent enough?

Best soloists are the necro and shammy plus DK hands down.

On PvE servers you can only Duel another player.

If you like open PvP, then, I'd advise you to go to the PvP server.
