I'm sorry for the same old question but I've been trying to find a new game. I'm a huge EQ and EQ2 fan and have been playing the latter for over a year. I'm a very casual gamer and rarely get in more than 10 hours a week. I prefer to solo but don't mind PvP at all, but would just like to able to choose to do PvP instead of having to do it to advance the game.
So given the extremely limited information provided above do you think I'll like this game?

I'd say if you liked EQ and EQ2 the you will like the game. How long you like the game is up in the air. It gets pretty monotonous and repetitive fairly quick IME and while you can solo it requires a group to do all the best quests. Those have often been hard to find unless you are in the most common areas.
I'd say that the gameplay is like eq2 with a dose of eq thrown in. I can't really put my finger on it but when I play I really get a sense of EQ.
That said it is also evolutionary from eq2 in that the combat system is quite a bit more deep and challenging. Like eq thought it is primarily a PvE oriented game so PvP will probably not be it's strength.
Overall it's a good game and quite a bit of fun. It sitll has some bugs but they are doing a nice job of cleaning that stuff up.
If you like a game that is really huge, with a lot of variety and excellent combat, and fun dungeons vg is going to keep you going. For solo play it is also pretty good. There are lots of soloable quests and some small group quests that you can do with a partner or you can solo if you are really careful.

I would say that with 10 hours per week your progress will be slow through the content - but given that you have a background in EQ 1 and 2, I would guess that you'll know what your getting into and have no problems with VG.
