~ What mmorpg? some clever help please! ~

Hey, i want an mmorpg to play, and it has to be free.

My Story

Well, my story is that long time ago, first mmorpg i played was Runescape (bad pc) but still, i LOVED it. Something about that game was amazing, you had to grind alot, but the grinding was fun, you didnt mind. The quest system was great, not too much, not too little. Spot on. I quit after my brother forced me to. So later, we got oblivion/two worlds on 360, great games, but not online, and not very mmorpg like. We then got a new laptop with high specs. So someone recommended a game called Last Chaos to us, good game, but kinda go pointless after abit. We go guild wars, with high hopes. I played it and it let me down so badly, i know many of you will disagree, but for some reason i didnt like it, i think it was the fact it was too much quest, and no grind.

What i want

Now i want a free, ok mmorpg. Ive seen archlord, but that looks too much like guildwars. Ive seen silkroad, but that looks like a martial arts game, and i dont like the type. Ive seen Dark and light, and it looks like a good game. So if anyone has any good seggestions please tell. NOTE: I dont mind paying for games, but for WoW its $14.99 a month!! Which is crazy, and i can afford that with everything else i pay for.

Summary

So basically, I want an mmorpg thats good, fun, and is balanced. Something that has the formula of RuneScape, because something about that game was AMAZING!

Most of the F2P MMO's are all like Archlord etc, you wont find anything different...

The only thing in them is combat, I know what you're looking for since you said you loved Runescape.

 

You want diversity, the option to do one out of MANY things whenever you want.

You want freedom.

 

Sadly you wont find that in any F2P game, tbh not in any P2P game either...

 

Runescape... well... they destroyed it with their updates and now its just boring for me. I did move on to P2P games, have played almost every good game out there, WoW, LOTRO, EVE, DAoC, CoX, EQ2, POTBS, TR, SWG, VG, and several others. But tbh, I havent found any game similar to RS, theres UO thats skill based but thats about it.

Im personally waiting for Darkfall.

 

As to your question, try RS again, if you dont like it im not sure theres anything out there that you would.

Try anarchy online, its F2P or P2P, and you can do pretty well with F2P if you want, its the best game I've ever played.

If you don't want to pay alot for a game I suggest you try Mabinogi, I'm playing it myselfd aswell. I used to be a runescape member and i really enjoyed the quests skills and grinding times... And for a long time I was looking for a new mmorpg and a week ago I found my new mmorpg and it was f2p so ALLRIGHT! I really hope you enjoy it. If you're not american just send me something and i'll show you hhow to play without an American IP.

Also, since you liked Runescape so much. Ever thought of going back? I know a lot of players who are burning out of WoW believe are no viable alternative MMORPGs of WoW's calibre currently released. They are returning to games they once played (Going retro) and are having a great time. Games like DAOC, Runescape, etc
