Has anybody read the Conan graphic novels?

I just started getting into reading Conan.  If you read anything by Kurt Busiek it's going to be really good (imo).  The graphic novels are entertaining and quite gruesome/ funny.

I started reading some of the non Howard Conan writers. I stopped...IMO...they don't compare to Howard.

I have read some of the graphic novels and comics, but none of it could hold a candle to the stories originally written by Howard.

I think I read all the original Conan books by Howard in the early 1990's.  I mostly read sci fi so for me to like Conan it had to be pretty good....and it was

When I was 8, I lived in Athens for a year.  I got a few greek Conan comic books for free and these were GRAPHIC.  There was even nudity, with Conan eating a plate of food at some table in what looked to be a tavern, grabbing some woman and pulling him onto his lap.  I couldn't read what any of the dialogue was, but even at that age I had to laugh at 'The Barbarian.'  I'd love to get back into reading some Conan stuff... AoC just keeps looking so damn good doesn't it?

Still holding out for BioWare to pipe up about what they're doing but I swear if I have anyting less than an orgasmically exciting experience upon their disclosure of the secret MMORPG, I'm headed right to Hyboria

Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.

Some of the Dark Horse Comics Conan issues are very good, some aren't.

Try to get some of the Marvel comics Conan issues back from the 80's (eh... digital versions much easier to get) with Roy Thomas as a writer and John Buscema as penciler, they are really awesome.

As for the stories written by other authors, well stories by L. Sprague de Camp are simply MUST READ material. Really really good AND filling the holes in our old barbarian life cycle.
