The answer is no to everything. There is no real single player part. Even Tortage you'll need the day (multiplayer) to advance, it's just not possible to leave the island with only the night (single) experience.
This game is not modeled after Guild Wars.
As for the free trial, noone really knows how it will work and I doubt you'll have the option from launch. Probably in two months time or so at the earliest (my estimation).
Why do people have such a hard time understanding this? Think of the tutorial as having a single player instance(similar to LOTRO). You can still group with people prior to lvl 20 if you desire. Yes, you WILL have to pay monthly fees no matter how you play.
"And if you not pay your month fee,do you will be able to log in the game-for example in solo server or somthing?"Then what-you will not be able to log in ,like in wow ?
Single Player Server for a MMO?
How does that even make sense in your head?
NO there will not be a single player server...YES you have to pay and play with other people.
Am I the only person that is having trouble understanding him?
No, you can't log at all without the monthly fee. As I said, the single player version will take you roughly 30 mins tops to complete. There is a video from the game director showcasing it. After that, you will need to switch to both. The game has changed from the past when people demanded that even for the first 20 levels they would need to play with others.
So there is no real single player version, just one quest line that you will play solo. It is very similar to LOTRO tutorial ground, part of it with others, part of it alone.
English is probably his second language, so he may be writing stuff that he does not mean or does not now how to put in words in our language.
Translated how I read it.
"if you do not pay your montly fee, will you be able to log into the game. For Example, a Single Player Server or something? If you do not pay, will you just not be able to log in like in WoW?"
What??? Dude!! It is a pay to play MMO just like most of them on the market. Solo server? What does that mean? Budget or not approx $15.00 U.S. per month and have some fun! Why are people surpised that one has to pay to play this game or any other MMO similar? This is not the first time I have seen someone ask about the game being free to play.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but way back when this game was first announced I believe there was a thing about there being a single player component to this game, similiar in sense to diablo where you can play single player than bring your character online for what I thought was supposed to be pretty PVP oriented. Again, there is a huge chance I'm wrong about all that.
Indeed the original concept was to do the Tortage part of the game (first 20 levels) on your own. This had changed for quite some time now, so basically the game beyond level 5 is a multiplayer experience. The closest that can describe it to what's already out there is the tutorial area of LOTRO.
Ok, i understand you, but then why in the net(in cameapm.com) is given this information for the solo mod?-
Single Player Mode
The first 20 levels of the game are a single player. They are creating a full-fledged stand-alone game that gives you a story-driven role-playing experience where the focus is on you, your character, and your journey. There are four different arcs of the story - one per core class - Rogue, Mage, Priest and Warrior. It is a traditional RPG with a lot of freedom in character development and movement, but where certain events are pre-ordained.
Since the characters entering our realm will meet other honest players, it is important to as much as possible limit cheating and exploits. For this reason they have decided to host the first 20 levels in an online environment. Although you play on their servers, you will play the single-player game as if it was offline, without any additional costs other than when you bought the game
- spesificly this: ''full-fledged stand-alone game ,Although you play on their servers, you will play the single-player game as if it was offline, without any additional costs other than when you bought the game''
you will play the single-player game as if it was offline, without any additional costs other than when you bought the game''- if this not meen you can play solo whit no fee, then what ex it meen?
pp-from the meny other infos i was whit the mby rong idea that Age of Conan will be somthing like Hellgate London-if you only buy the game you can play singleplayer and if you want play multi, then you must pay month fees.Mw all question are practicly one only- are you sure here is not the same like HL?
The game model is like LOTRO, not HG:L.
So, no single player mode besides a selected quest line, rest is MMO with a monthly fee.
ok 10x to all.i understand vry good now and i cant say am more happy from the game in this what is now,but steel you help me chouse to play or not it.
I read a beta journal not too long ago (within the past few weeks) that described nearly everything that the Tortage Island tutorial had to offer. No specifics, but a general idea of what there is to expect. Information important to this thread is as follows..
You can go in and out of Single/Milti player mode almost at will. Allowing you to play by yourself or with friends. About 10 quests per level. Also, If you complete all of the quests, it should take you around 8 hours and get you to level 20.
Read the latest journal, there's a bunch of information on these things, so I'm not just lying through my teeth. I am pretty dumbfounded about how any of you could possibly think that going from level 1 to level 20 will take an hour or less. Even the most hardcore of hardcore gamers will not burn through the first 20 levels in an hour.
