First of all sorry for making a new topic on an idea that was probably discussed thousands of time. I'm an ex WOW player, i quited some time ago, after playing for 2-3 years. I planned on getting back when wotlk appears but then AoC popped into my mind as a viable option.I like pvp, but i was into WOW for the lore and PVE part. So, my question, for the beta testers and/or more informed people out there. How good is PVE in Aoc ? I don't need exact numbers, names or stuff, since you'r on NDA, but, is it remotely close as number of lvl 80 PVE experiences as wow ? Will it be treated as a PVP mmo (that's why i avoided Warhammer) ? Will i just slash other players all day, or be able to "farm" some dungeons when i get to max level ?
Thanks for your answers (if any ) ) and please stay on topic. We are definitely NOT discussing about AoC vs Wow.

The beta testers are not allowed to even say that they are in beta test. Apart from that small problem, you're trying to compare an established game with 1 expansion going for a 2nd to a new game.
The quest lines are very strong, you won't get the amount of quests of WoW, but on the other hand the quests available are more evolving and have a central theme.
WoW started with zero dungeons. AoC claims that will have 8 ready for launch I believe. Remains to be seen.
First part i didn't know. My mistake.Second, i'm not trying to compare anything. I used the term "remotely close" and after that i went into detail and asked about how will the game be treated by the producers. Like a PvP mmorpg, or like a PVP+PVE.Like i said, this is not about numbers, is about perspective and conception.
I'd say an even amount, but it depends on the server type. Expect more mayhem on the FFA PvP servers. Expect more raiding on the PvE ones.
To be honest I think AoC will be a different experience than what people get with WoW. Combat system is a lot more involved, PVP might actually take some good strategy to win, quests will be a lot more involved, and so on. I would suggest to you, as with the 100s of other people who constantly post on the subject, to head over to the AoC website, read the FAQ and hit up the forum as you will find more info than you can handle there.

AOC is supposed to have solid PVE and the ability to solo 100% of the content. The first 20 levels are in a "single player" type mode/ instnace that "I am guessing" will feel like a PCRPG. Af you know Conan lore there is lots of it to tap and it will be pretty unique to MMOs as far as what is available so far.
As I have read and seen on boards, etc the quest lines are deep so you won't have 100s of quests but those that you do have will have a great, progressing story arc and be very involved.
I can say this, Funcom defintly does lean more to the PvP side of things, as evident with the server types they are offering at launch (PvE, PvP, RP PvP). It is also apparent in the attention given (based on what we know) toward their combat system as opposed to their crafting system.
That said, as mentioned we know they intend to launch the game with 8 dungeons (1 of which we have already seen and so can confirm). They have also said they will have a healthy amount of PvE quests. Your ability to complete those quests will depend in part on what server you choose to play on. If it's a PvE server, you can complete as normal. If on a PvP or RP PvP server, then there is the possibility that some other players may not want you to and attack you to keep you from doing so. In such a case you will have to bring friends or try another day and hope they or a different group aren't there to stop you.

End-game will be tiered like wow. They said it will have 4 tiers at launch if I remember correctly. As for quests I'm sure it wont be as many as wow. The quality of quests will be better with the "destiny" quests that let you solo to 80 like the poster above mentioned
