Well it doesn't state on the WAR website, but i have pre-order my collectors edition from game uk. I aint sure if it counts as online or store, since i pre-order online. But yeah you can pre-order the collectors edition there if your uk, for some reason play.com was removed? ;s
You should contact them then ... im pretty sure the Euro folks are getting the same pre order incentives we are in the states. I have a feeling if you pre ordered from sites that just had it up there based on speculation (before the official announcement) you'll need to contact them to request the beta ticket or find a better website.

I guess I'll have to wait as there is no online store, at least listed on WAR-Europe, from my region of Europe as well as for the UK, where we, people from my country, normally order stuff (guess what? one of the oldest alliance in Europe...) for language reason mainly.
I'm saying that I'll probably have to wait as there is also no German or French (or any other smaller countries) still listed. They're probably fixing this as we speak (ot at least I hope they are).

The Eu site isn't working correctly for most people, in fact it is seriously broke at the moment. Many people are unable to see the stores link to even click on it. I really wish that Mythic had partnered with someone other than GOA this time around as they don't exactly have a sparkling reputation for competance and this website cock-up just adds to it.
I'm actually concern about GOA, I don't know anything about them but I haven't heard any good things.
It is true that the web site is screwed, flash doesn't always mean it's good - I would prefer something workable than "pretty" - a god damn normal site with same amount of info and at the same time as the main regular one. Ok this has been discussed already elsewhere so I'll just stop talking about the european web site.
Thing is I feel, as an european, left out by MythicGOA specially on the CE pre-order, if I'm going to be a future sub (read giving money to them) shouldn't I and so many others in Europe be better treated?

As it currently stands they get the same exact bonuses as the US one except they also get a WAR mouse pad with theirs.
Right, we all know what we get but we don't know where to acquire it, I guess we have once more to be patient while some others european countries can get their pre order, which is not really fair. Would be nice if we could pre order all at the same time.

To answer the original question, your right, the UK looks to be shafted. Only HMV listed, and on phoning them today, they are unaware of the preorder and their HQ tell me they have no deal with GOA or Mythic to stock a preorder pack of the CE with beta keys. Also GAME tell me the same, as do Play.com and Amazon.co.uk
So yes, shafted.

And then there is a list of 12 european stores. 4 of them are Swedish. None of the Swedish stores listed got the pre-order WAR CE available. Not even listed. Some of them not even has the "standard" version of the game listed.
If this is the quality we have to expect of GOA then ... well... thats not good. What a mess! And one UK store only...whats up with that?
(I made a search on google, and found some swedish stores offering the pre-order CE and pre-ordered my CE from one of them. Non of them was listed on the GOA site(??!).)

I rang play.com this morning after placing an order to clarify what I have just orders. Now I spoke to a standard customer service dude so he probably doesnt know what he's talking about, but I asked if this was either
* a pre-order for the CE edition
* a pre-order box for the CE edition
If its a pre-order box, it should be ready for shipping almost immediatly surely? Because the pre-order box isnt the CE box, its just a jewel case with some info in it.
He said ignore the picture and go off the website description. There is no mention of any beta access, or early start bonus items or a pre-order box.
So who knows.
**UPDATE** Play.com have corrected their site. The image is correct, the descripton and the customer service dude was wrong. Go order your copies now!

The email newsletter at least had the correct information about it being play.com and GAME.
I am a bit worried about GAME they have the collectors edition for £40, although this sounds like a great deal they have a nasty habit of putting down a really cheap price for collectors editions and then getting tons of pre orders so they can try and get as many of the 55,000 that are allocated for europe and then send out "we are very sorry" emails to most of their customers.
So I have ordered 1 from Game and 1 from play and if I get 2 my wife will kill me......
Just got the confirm mail back from the store... No beta codes to be seen anywhere,not mentioned at all. Just a plain order confirmation mail.
"This is a pre-order. The price and release date may change. As you have chosen to pay the order with a credit card, we will contact you a week before release with information about the final payment."
I have ordered games from this store twice before without any problems, so I guess I just got to calm down a little and wait for a little while for them to send a mail or something. But I want it now! Give me give me!
Well Im gonna give it the week out and if no more information about the codes I'll send them a mail. This is fun! Not good for the nerves though.
Well enough of my offtopic rambles... How are things going for the UK people? Found any stores yet that sells it?

just a normal confirmation order tho no email about beta it sounds like they will send one out via email when around may or "when beta begins" hope i dont get screwed !

Ok, last post went wierd when I posted the description in, anyways.....
So things are not happening for a while yet, obviously it gives time for Mythic to work out how many CE's have been pre-ordered and to allocate numbers to the stores, as said in an earlier post we have retailers in the UK who deliberatly take more orders than they know they can fill just to up their allocation.
So when allocation have been done in May onwards we will hopefully get a better picture of what is happening.
I know that europe is getting 55,000 CE boxes how many are being launched in the US?
For the people who do not have your codes yet, and got the confirmation email, they are two separate emails and take some time to get out. As to 55k in EU, there are 60k in the US.
I sent a email asking about the beta codes a couple of hours ago and just now I got a mail from the store that said my Beta codes is on their way via the ordinary mail service. It also said that it was a first come - first serve system. I wonder where in the line I ended up.

So for someone like me who lives in Portugal (or to anyone who don't have a retail or online store available to pre-order in their country)... What would you guys think is best to order from, Sweden or UK?

I think I'm going to pre.order from Play.com (UK) - both swedish and UK currency isn't in Euro (€), so what do you think is best?
Also I'm guessing that the swedish version will only come in english not like the german or french version (even if actually french is my mother tongue) but I'm just guessing as I've seen german videos in german language only.

Edit (again, sorry for that) - just saw that Play.com can change currency, so I feel more at ease to order it from there, just one problem it's almost 100 bucks! 93 €! Oh well I sometimes spend as much on booze so...
