How does Taming work?
Whenever I try to tame an animal it says "that creature cannot be tamed"
Whenever I try to Animal Lore it says "that's not an animal"
I have tried it on every animal I could find in the startup area with no luck.
If anyone can please explain how you level up these skills; the guide is no help at all. I have already bought the training from the trainer.
I guess i'll buy a pet from that trainer and try some stuff with it?
I am really stupid so go step by step please...

Thanks for the links the last was was really great, sadly, it was Kingdom Reborn that was giving me the problem.
I can tame with the 2d client.
