I am downloading the full client install right now and am wondering about how the install will go. Will it install to my "Program Files" directory? Or is it going to try to install to the directory it is downloading to right now? Is this install any different than just going to Wal-Mart and buying the retail copy?
Thanks.

You're just downloading the install files, it will install to the Program Files directory. And be prepared for a pretty lengthy install process, I think it took me like 20 mins last time I installed from scratch from the download. You'll also have to go thru probably at least 1 or 2 patches as well. I started downloading one afternoon around 2:00 and was just finishing the patches around 7:00, but that was both the original plus the expansion.
It's the same as if you purchased it at Walmart.
Yep, after you download that file THEN you will have to install it, it creates a Wow directory in your program files, with regards to the file itself I think its better if you download opposed to buying it simply because they include some of the patches in what your downloading. 2.3 and 2.4 are probably not included though as they are newer (2.4 just came out this week) but it will still be much faster then if you had bought it from a store.
Don't confuse a players ability, with a class being Over Powered.

Yes and no. Yes, you may be downloading a newer version than what you would purchase in the store, but since you're downloading and installing it instead of just installing from the CD, it's gonna take a lot more time to download the full install and then install rather than just install from the CD. And besides, either way it will still have to be patched up to the latest version regardless and once that's done, absolutely no difference whatsoever.
It's six of one, 1/2 dozen of the other. The end result is always the same.
