Clones

I have a question about the cloning system. If i would clone my character in lvl 15 or so and my character is a soldier.

a) Could i switch from soldier to the other thing? specialist i think...

b) Would my attribute points and the other points (Body, Mind, Spirit) be returned to the clone or would some of my points be taken from me and transferd to the clone?

c) Does cloning have any side-effects? like damaging my armor, losing points and stuff like that?

Please reply, i have absulutly no idea about this thing

No, you choose Soldier/Specialist at level 5 and if you clone after that your "class" stays as either Soldier/Specialist depending on what you picked. The best option is (for example, if you're playing a soldier) to clone at level 14.9 so that you have two level 14.9 soldiers. Then you can make one of them a Ranger and one of them a Commando when they hit level 15.

Your clone starts as a carbon copy of your main, except that the clones skill points and attributes points are reset and you can spend them again. Nothing happens to your main except that he loses 1 Clone point.

    c) Does cloning have any side-effects? like damaging my armor, losing points and stuff like that?
Your clone starts naked with no weapons/armour and a blank mission journal. You can transfer weapons/armour through the footlocker from your "main", but your clone will have to restart any Targets of Opportunity missions if your main character was halfway through them.
Oh, and your clone can't redo any missions that your main has already completed and handed in.

Clone before you train your new class, in this case you would have a level 14 Soldier.  Then you could then login to one of those chars and create, in this case, either a Commando or a Ranger.

    Well, here goes...:)

    a) "Could i switch from soldier to the other thing? specialist i think..."

Your class choices are fixed - the primary use of the cloning system is BEFORE you choose your next class, so you can the other one without having to reroll and re-play through the content that got  you there :)..  Since you're pre-15, rerolling a specialist is not that big a deal (you can get to level 5 if you skip Bootcamp literally in about 10 minutes).  Imagine what it ould be like if you were at lvl 30 or so...

    TL;DR version: NO, you can't.

    b) "Would my attribute points and the other points (Body, Mind, Spirit) be returned to the clone or would some of my points be taken from me and transferd to the clone?"

Neither. The character you clone from is unchanged in any way from before the time you clone.  What cloning does is create a EXACT COPY of your character at the time of cloning.  The only change made to your character is that your spent points are refunded - haven't cloned i a while, so don't remember if they do attribute points ow too (it used to be just your skill points refunded).   It's the same level and class as the one you cloned from.

    c) "Does cloning have any side-effects? like damaging my armor, losing points and stuff like that?"

No.  Only thing you lose is a clone credit on the character you clone from.

Oh - and clone credits are character-specific, NOT account-specific - can't trasfer 'em, just earn more as you level - and the clone would have to earn his/her own, too.
