LF Game with lots of possible char builds

Hi,

Half of the fun in MMORPGs for me is to build a char (not from a template mind you), play it and rebuild another one with different skills/role/stats, etc... etc...

Sadly most of the games out there either have only a few classes/skills.

I've recently tried Shadowbane which looked really nice (4 basic classes, lots of subclasses at lvl 10, lots of skills), but I couldn't stand the UI and poor controls.

Here are other things I'd like to see in this perfect game I'm looking for :

* Graphics must look consistent and polished, I don't care if it's 3d/2d or if it looks outdated, but I don't like games that look 'amateur'.

* I enjoy PVE and don't mind grinding as long as I can have fun, especially by grouping

* I hate Open PVP, but enjoy PVP from time to time (RvR, GvG or at least team vs team)

* I'd prefer a free game but if the game is good I don't mind paying a fee

* a game with no/low lag is a must

* games infested with bots/spam/hackers are a big no

* I'd also prefer a game with a mostly adult population (partying with kids who can only speak by cursing isn't my idea of fun)

I've already tried CoH (liked a lot), GW(good but engdame not so fun), Shayia(ok but too classic and not very varied), Anarchy Online(liked a lot), Rose Online(fun from time to time), 2 moons (disliked the community, and the PK).

Did you try the City of Villains?

 

Masterminds and Corruptors are definitely both quite interesting and totally different from other ATs.

I've played CoH for almost 2 years and liked a lot (especially blaster and controller class) but I felt bored and would like to try a new setting. While CoV certainly seems interesting, I feel I'd get bored again quickly...
